Take a break and meet me back in the fields in 20 mins. Near the cave actually. However, on your way to the cave I want you to head to the equipment room and find a katana that works well with you. Test a few out on the dummies, practice some slashed, lunges, etc. Once you found the one that connects bring it with you. See you then,

After Ryu's break he takes the first katana with the blue hilt and tries them out on blocks of wood, he takes a stance and proceeds to lift the katana over his head and swing it back down to chop the wooden block in half.

"Too heavy"

Ryu then takes the next katana with the red hilt and again tries cutting another wooden block in half again with the same movement. It seems fine and so goes to a dummy and takes his stance, right foot forward, left foot back; his then lifts his sword diagonally up to his right and slashes down the his left, cutting the dummy with ease, but the blade wasn't for him.

"Too Rough"

Ryu then takes another one of the blades, the one with the green hilt and chops the wooden block in half again, it's fine, and then he goes back to the dummy. He takes the stance and brings his katana to the right side horizontally and slashes across the dummy, smoothly cutting it in half with ease. Ryu chuckles and then moves to the next dummy, he stands with his left foot in front and right foot back, his katana is pulled back to his right with both hands on it, he then steps forward quickly and lunges his arms forward into the dummies face. The katana snaps into the wood and hay and rips through the dummies head.

"Perfect"

Ryu sheathes his katana and heads toward the field near the cave.

Ryu nods to his sensei and then grips his katana tightly in his hand, he stares and focuses on it. Firstly he gathers his chakra into his body and keeps building up more until he can use it freely, then he moves it towards his arms and sends it speeding down into his hands. The chakra leaks from the hands and immediately finds its vessel, the blade of the katana; we are able to tell this because now Ryu's blade has a blue hue too it. Ryu smiles and then runs forward to the boulder, pulling his katana up into the air over his head and then swinging it down, the katana hits the boulder and manages to slash down it, creating a vertical cut in it. Ryu looks at it for a sec.

"Awwww YEAH!"

The chakra added to your katana refines it greatly and allows for a much cleaner and stronger slicing motion. This goes just as well for blunt weapons, increasing the power of it greatly.

Sensei pulls out her katana again and this time lighting radiates off the blade.

Ryu gathers his raw chakra inside of him and then molds a portion into lightning chakra. He channels it through his body meeting the handle in his hands and going into it, travelling up and into the blade, the metal sparks as the lightning festers and Ryu then performs a downward slash on the rock, the sword easily cutting and cracking through the rock. He releases the lightning and the sword stop sparking, he takes the other portion of raw chakra and molds it into fire chakra, again he channels it into his blade and the blade turns a little red with the fire, little amounts of smoke rising from it. Ryu sidesteps and slashes down on another bit of the rock, the sword bounces off but leaves a black mark on it.

"Heh..."

Sensei channels wind chakra through her blade.

I would say the best chakra to use in kenjutsu. Cutting power is extreme and releasing off the katana itself can also create deadly offensive and even defensive abilities. Give it a go on my straw dummie.

Ryu looks at his blade and takes in some more raw chakra, converting into wind chakra his speciality, so the chakra becomes wind type quicker than normal. Ryu then channels it through his body, through his right arm and into the hilt of the katana, the chakra then spreads throughout the whole blade emitting a small breeze from the blade to indicate the wind chakra has covered the blade.

When the channelling is completed Ryu walks over to one of his Sensei's Dummies and brings the katana around to his right side, the blade is held horizontally. He then swings his arms around to his left, the katana slicing through the dummy with ease, a clean cut with no resistance from the straw and wood that holds it together. Ryu brings the Katana down to his side and nods to his Sensei and then lets out a big grin.

I make my way into the tunnel, I look back at my sensei and then back in front of me...

I face plant the floor after being kicked in the butt, I then stand up and I see in front of me...me.

"What?"

The other me draws his sword and so do I. He strikes me but I block, I counter but he blocks perfectly, everything I do he knows how to block it, even if I try to pull off a fancy move he mirrors and nullifies my attacks.

"I see so because he is me, he knows what I know...so I have to make up something I have never done before to defeat him! That is cunning...right?"

I step back away from the my opponent and get into my stance, left foot forward, right behind. The grip on my katana is firm, my eyes do not wonder from my opponent. There is only one me. I bring my sword around to my right and swing it to strike my opponents body, he blocks by swinging his sword at me in the same way though his sword is tilted a little so that the blade manages to clash with one another. As the swords clash, my attack is parried and I bring the sword back down to my right, holding it with one hand, the left hand to my left side. My opponent then thrusts his sword directly towards my chest and I sidestep to the right, the sword slashing the side of my torso but not deep enough to be serious, I then press my folded left arm against the blade and grab his hand over his hilt. Finally with a quick motion with my right arm I pull it back and point the blade at my opponent, thrusting it quickly into his chest.

"THIS HURTS!! BUT I DONT CARE T_T"

I fall to my knees and laugh, I had just killed myself.

Anyone can just swing a sword back and forth with no effort and simply expect to win but being bright helps your nonetheless. It allows you to think creatively and wisely. Now, within this library lies your test of intellect.

Sensei points to a scroll that is already unveiled on the table, it says 123E 459F. Meaning it's in aisle 123F and book 459F on that shelf.

I nod to my sensei and walk away, travelling down the long columns of the library that never seemed to end when finally I reached aisle 123F; I continue down it and look at the bookshelves on either side that seemed to tower over me, I reached the shelves that marked 450F - 460F; Finding the book I reached for it and slid it from the two books that comforted it. After retrieving the book I sit down on a stool and lay the book on the table, opening the front cover and after reading the first paragraph is instantly gripped on how the Tea maker would beat the Samurai. I finish the book and smile whilst closing it, walking back over to my Sensei. "That was an interesting read"

Well the meaning of the story is that it's not about stature, it's not about your discipline in an art. In this case the teamaker was his own kind of Samurai and no one can say otherwise, he had something beautiful and his master wanted him to be seen as a great man an artist so branded him a 'Samurai' so that he would gain the respect he deserves or a 'Samurai of his own way'. Since it is up to him to choose his own path and up to him which discipline he learns, and we he did come face to face with the stereotypical Samurai he beat the system with something new, something different that the system could not handle and has not adapted too.
