Kakashi's situation

I would like to know everyones thoughts on kakashi's situation.

Like do you guys think he can return if he wanted to?
Is he dead? ect.

My theory is that he isnt dead, he is just really ****ed up. I believe that if he had enough chakara and he wasnt in such a bad state, he could remove himself from the Kamui dimension because obitos and kakashi's eyes are linked id say kakashi is probably the only person who can escape the kamui.
