Isnt Madara better off without the juubi?

Let me explain the title. Madara with only EMS was already the second strongest shinobi ever. Now with the rinnegan imo even hashi cant beat him (tengai shinsei>shinsuusenju), but thats not the point of the thread. He's got an edo tensei body now so hes basically immortal, but if he succeeded in becoming the juubi's host, he would get a new weakness (senjutsu) and become mortal. Of course he'd also get onmyoudon and probably some other powers, but that could never weigh up to the weaknesses he would get could it?

Edo Madara may be stronger than Edo Hashirama, but Edo Hashirama has much better chances against Obito due to him having Sage Mode.

Why would he use the Sharingan or Rinnegan since he's been using it since he was 14 and now has these new over powered abilities that no one can rival against for the first time?!?!?! It's not like senjutsu does more damage to the Juubi's host than any other person (or at least that's not the case yet). If it is a weakness it's because everything else about him just became stronger. So I don't think it would be right to count it as a con or negative for becoming its host. Since being the Juubi's host gives such chakra levels, limitless stamina loss doesn't seem like a problem either. And while he might be immortal, he can still be sealed.

No the real question is if he can control it like Obito can without motivation that Kishi might be trying to parallel with Naruto (kinda fortifying the dark Naruto theme). If he can it's definitely better for him. Heck his goal is to use the Moons Eye Plan, which is impossible unless he's the Juubi's host anyways.

His trump card might change things but if it does work, it might not change what we're talking about here.

I didnt even take that into consideration, Im not sure if thats really the case though, maybe obito's only testing his new ones and needs to get used to combining them or something idk

I agree, but I mean madara vs SA (not obito), cus he wanted obito as an ally in the first place. Lets say that plan worked and obito wasnt a problem for him and he became host, would he have better or worse chances?

To be fair if somebody wanted to they could probably make a case that he doesn't need to be the host to perform the jutsu, but they'd have to be really playing with words and scenarios to try that and honestly it's the more far fetched case. Unless it was actually stated by the manga and I just forgot it.

It wouldnt only be far fetched, it wouldnt make any sense. Why spent so much time, energy and sacrifice all the man power you got to get something which you dont really need anyway...
