Rasengan vs chidori

I want to put all claims to rest that rasengan isn't stronger than chidori! Rasenshuriken doesn't count.... and kirin doesn't count in this thread and also I think big ball rasengan > chidori low dif!

Rasengan>Chidori. Chidori was born when Kakashi attempted to learn the Rasengan. The Chidori is made for piercing, where as the Rasengan is more powerful and for grinding into stuff. Plus we saw way back in part 1 that Rasengan is more powerful that Chidori on top of the hospital.

by chakra nature's pros and cons rasengan has an advantage against chidori, but if that much more power is put into chidori it can ignore the weakness... a rasengan will beat and equal powered chidori though...

Everytime the two came into contact, there was an equal clash. That being said, if Rasengan>Chidori, than at the times of their clashes, Sasuke>Naruto because his skills were great enough to quell Rasengan with Chidori.

That's what I'm saying xD a normal rasengan = chidori but a oodama rasengan -> chidori

Well with these two, it's a ver strange situation, but let's put it this way.

Rasengan is more powerful. But Chidori on contact has a guarenteed kill. Any character who can tank Chidori can tank Rasengan, but the opposite doesn't always apply.

Rasengan has a wide impact radius & extremely short range.

Chidori has a small impact radius, better piercing capability, more versatility, & works in both short & mid range situations.

Chidori is more useful, rasengan is straightforward & requires a unique fighting style in order to master effectively, remember not everyone has thousands of shadow clones & senjutsu enhanced chakra. Yes sasuke has sharingan but it in no way strengthens his chidori.
