When I say control the brain i do not mean mind control. Our senses are mere electrical impulses interpreted by our brain. It is through the brain that we interact with the world. so if one wants to control another persons perceptions, it is impossible to do without manipulating or controlling the brain in some way. Since the brain is the interpreter.
Just google hallucinations and then hypnosis to learn the difference ok?

You could be right, but senjutsu attacks cause extreme damage to Obito. Like a mere senjutsu big ball rasengan broke layers of his skin and caused internal bleeding. Let alone more powerful attacks like FRS.
Yeah you have a point, He would probably fall to the genjutsu but i dont see it being strong enough to hold him for long.

I would imagine that frog song could be useful if they used it as a distraction or stalling technique. But if anything it would only work once as obito wouldnt fall for the same genjutsu twice.

I would say he is vulnerable unless Obito is actually a perfect jinchuriki somehow.

Edit: Plot would probably kick in too, and he'd break out of it with thoughts of Rin

Hallucination:An experience involving the perception of something not present.
Hypnosis:The induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestibility and direction.

I agree that the senses can be tricked. But this is obviousely not what is being discussed here.

As the DB explains their minds are paralysed which means it affects the mind in some way though it is not controlled fully. It is obviously not a simple illusion where senses are tricked.

"once you hear it you become captive to illusion..." pretty self explanatory dont you think? As far as paralyzed mind goes if i recall correctly the naraka recognized that it was genjutsu. I see no reason as to why would it act any different then SM genjutsu of tayuya. Looks like just pretty words to me :p

Hmmm... great question.

Fact of the matter is, it's genjutsu, which Sharingans have shown amazing immunity against, and ability to break out of. However, Rinnegan is stronger than Sharingan, and it fell to genjutsu. So yes, he is vulnerable.

And I don't want anybody giving me that 'jinchuuriki is immune to genju-' crap. First, 10-tails is incapable of communication and knocking him out of it. Secondly, he is perfect, but he forces the power. It's not partnered or allowed. And in general, the situation of being the 10 tails Jin is a lot different from a regular 1-9 tail.
