lmao really it's just balancing.

I never did chem. for like a year lol but Im pretty sure it's just balancing.

It's been over a year since I've last seen chemistry stuff :mad:_@:
The equation is balanced..
are you supposed to be writing the complete net equation? Like separating the aqueous solutions and solids?

Then I can't really help you here :|
When I did net equations, I remember I needed two different charts
One with the charges of the individual Ions
and one that tells what state of matter the ion is in..
..like if it's aqueous or solid at room temperature

But if all you have to do is balance it..then it's already balanced.

I can tell it's balancing (which is easy if you can, you know, add and read), but the question is pretty poorly phrased and confusing cause it's on a computer. Well idk good luck!

I think I have to put all of the states of matter in the equation. Can you help me with that?

Google!!! -_-

Doesn't work.

LOL, but seriously I haven't chemistry since I began college in 2005. Did you state the different parts of matter like the question asked? One thing I do know is that when I went through engineering school we didn't have these computers programs to submit homework. I thinks it's asinine and people should just submit written work. Writing has worked well for mankind up to this point. Some of the professors at my college have switched over to those systems and having graded homework submitted with them, I know if even the slightest thing is different than the computer answer it will be marked as wrong. Even if your answer is right. Sorry, for that rant and that I can't help.

Doesn't work.

I don't think I can help with that
Like I said..when I had these, the teacher gave us a chart that had a list of ions with their states of matter.
Sorry O_O

EDIT:

Actually I found the rules for classifying them as aqueous or solid

Soluble (or aqueous solutions) are:
1. Compounds that have the ions: Li+, Na+, K+, NH4+, NO3-, or C2H3O2-
2. Compounds containing Cl-, Br-, or I- EXCEPT when with Ag+, Pb2+, Hg2+ [ex: AgCl is insoluble]
3. Compounds containing SO4 2- EXCEPT when it's with Ag+, Ba2+, Pb2+, or Ca2+

So the compound in the product of your equation:
2 NaC[SUB]2[/SUB]H[SUB]3[/SUB]O[SUB]2[/SUB] is Aqueous (aq) because it contains Na+ and C2H3O2-

Insoluble (solids) are:
4. Compounds containing S2-, CO3 2-, PO4 3-, and OH- EXCEPT with Li+, Na+, K+, NH4+.
Most ionic compounds are insoluble.

So the first compound in the product side is a solid because it contains OH-
Cd(OH)[SUB]2[/SUB] is a solid (s)

Knowing this, the equation will be written as such:
You do the reactant side -----> Cd(OH)[SUB]2[/SUB] [SUB](s) [/SUB]+ 2 NaC[SUB]2[/SUB]H[SUB]3[/SUB]O[SUB]2[/SUB] [SUB](aq)[/SUB]

Again, i haven't seen a chemistry equation in over a year..I'm going with what I can remember.
I gave you the states of matter to the product side...now you do the Reactant

Carny, what the hell? BC, u r 2 6 c i 1 2 4 q... *jizz*
lol :leaf:
I regret nothing

Thanks bud, but I already had it.

It's Cd(C2H3O2)2(aq) + 2 NaOH(aq) โ†’ Cd(OH)2(s) + 2 NaC2H3O2(aq)

sorry i don't know a thing about chemistry, what i do know is the chemicals and stuff and the practical, but mostly i don't
pay attention in chemistry, its just a waste of time ( Not a waste of time if your not going to be a scientist, doctor) but i just don't need it for my future job, maybe biology but not physics and chemistry. umm kinda off-topic (oops)

Cool I got it right  *is proud*

That's not what he had to do, the equation's already balanced. :|
