This true, but naruto doesn't have to be uber intelligent. He has enough fighting intelligence to survive in battle and has a wide variety of techniques to use and don't say he doesn't because naruto has plenty. Sage mode, kyuubi mode, bijuu mode, Kage bunshin, a million different rasengans, rasenshuriken, summons. Naruto is fa sho a genin but nowhere near genin level. He was easily chuunin level by the beginning of shippuden

I think he really needs the chunnin/jounin training and he still have a long way to go.
Yeah, sure he can beat most of ninjas and destroy a lot of area, but being a ninja isn't always about destruction. One is expected to have a certain skill or knowledge before he is sent to a mission.

Once he is done with his chunnin and jounin training, he will at least have the knowledge of basic tactics used in a battle.

naruto outsmarted in part one: amegakure genjutsu master, neji ,gaara,kiba,zabuza,kidoaru. in shipuuden: pain, kakuzu,3 raikage, obito mask, juubit and many more. also itachi wihout naruto and bee cant escape from chibaku tensei.

which skills? stels? nothing use stels. genjutsu use? only three jounin use genjutsu. mission ? naruto in shipuuden send in mission only for kage/jounin level.
