ok ... before you read this .... Im not sure about this so there is a huge Possibility that Im wrong
so we all know that kishi explained wood style in a logical way you know ... you have to combine earth style and water style

even in the real world water and earth would give you plants .... now enough of that let's talk about sand style and how exactly it was created

now all of you know that the sand Villagers uses wind style and the cloud Villagers uses lighting and etc ... ... and you know that every single person can use two styles so what Im guessing is that garra can use wind and earth and when he combined them he can use sand style ... just like wood style .. Im not sure about this .. and this might sound stupid to

I think there is no such style called sand style cuz we never heard of him saying like "Sand style : Sand coffin jutsu or like Sand style : Sand Tsunami Jutsu" but by your thinking it feels somehow close earth style cuz sand comes from rocks and it may be considered as earth style jutsu

I dont think it sand at all, I think it sure chakra manipulating sand. Like how Sakura manipulated the water in the poison jutsu, that is what Gaara does because the pass Kages use similar jutsus (and gaara is a wind style chakra user so it probably makes the sand easier to manipulate, notice how it flows like the wind). And Earth and Wind would be sand/glass/ect. so you could be possibly correct, because when earth meet the wind alot of elemental compounds are created.
