If he was using the erase ninjutsu attack when he was in that form, Tobirama wouldn't have regenerated
Hiruzen's not dead (Well, obviously in the sense that he's still edo)

Yeah, I agree. Kishi is losing his edge. He is just reusing concepts. Onmyuudon is just Preta path on steroids.
Why oh why. Nagato used it. Madara used it. Now we see it for a 3rd time.

Anything is more entertaining than that:

time manipulation, seeing the future, complete matter manipulation/transformation
Create outcomes with Yin/Yang release
Mind reading, slicing space time, further splitting the fundamental 5 elements
Localized time manipulation(I.e reduce someone to an old man or turn someone to a fetus)
Ultimate genjutsu where the body experiences what the mind experiences.


These are all ideas that I made on the spot.
I'm not an author but the average author should be able to come up with far more interesting concepts than the ones I have listed here.

Hiruzen got hit with it before Obito gained full control over the Juubi, Hashirama and Tobirama also got hit before that and still regenerated, so Hiruzen will, too.

I think Kishimoto is just building up to it, Bee's Jinchuuriki even commented but that isn't the final form.
Judging from these last few chapters, the agenda seems to be about developing Obito's frustration. My guess is Obito is gradually going to exert more power as he becomes more frustrated, similar to how Naruto used to lose control of himself as a Jinchuurikii. This would also allow for Obito to perhaps sympathize with Naruto and vice-versa providing when the plot-no-jutsu comes around.
To be fair, he has used some rather devastating techniques that are capable of killing many, but thanks mainly to Naruto and the hokages, they've gone to waste.

How can Obito show shit if he can't even make poo? >_>Uu
