This is Deva Path as he was after he captured Naruto by impaling him with his stakes.

He is up against:

- Team Gai
- Hinata
- Shikaku
- Inoichi
- Yamato
- other Konoha shinobi still not hurt.

The only threatening person here is shikaku with his shadow manipulation and intelligence. Also Gai's hide speed movements from gates can prove to be troublesome but in the end Deva will rape.

Honestly, the first team is the only team that really matters. I think gated Gai and gated Lee can pull it off with Neji and Tenten helping them. Tenten can spam projectiles at Deva, while Neji can also annoy him in CQC. Gai and Lee's speed should be noticeable above his, and one of them (best be Lee) can be the distraction to force Deva to use Shinra Tensei to defend himself, and then Gai can follow up on the five second interval with a gated attack of his choice.

I can't see Deva using Chibaku Tensei on anything short of a Bijuu or comparablly overwhelming odds.

I disagree. There multiple opponents on the field so I see the only logical solution to end this safely is to use Chibaku tensei. Not too mention Deva is not restricted to the surface as he can simply levitate and go into his flight mode with the use of gravity manipulation. Keeping that a mind a wide scale shinrei tensei can pretty much end this if anything, so close CQC from neji and lee and gai are pretty much render useless when he goes into the air. Morning peacock gets shinrei tensei away. Tenten's projectiles are easily evaded.

This is before Deva pulled out Chibaku Tensei so Deva still rapes.
Even without CT, Deva can still win. No one has intel on his moves so shinra Tensei and Bansho Tenin will cause major damage and since they don't know about the time interval, Deva can still beat them by easily blowing their techniques and his opponents away.
