I think that all of these "what-ifs" that Minato is expressing is a set-up to prepare us for a closure sort of demise. He'll discover that even though he feels completely responsible for the whole entire world turning to shit, his own son who has to fix it holds it 0% against him.

So my theory is that he will survive the battle at least until the Obito thing is resolved and he no longer has any regrets due to being loved by the person who matters the most, his own son, and probably Kakashi. Knowing that Kakashi, one of his own students, doesn't hold anything against him also wouldn't hurt to know too.

Good idea, I can see that happening with Naruto calling his dad a hero and Kakashi saying the same. Or maybe if Madara's trump card works, he can find closure with Obito in his last moments.

Because resurrected Edo Minato was having only one job before knowing Obito's existence, that is giving the other half of Kyuubi to Naruto but since Obito is alive and is reponsible for the War, Minato blames himself for being responsible for Obito's current condition. So he'll mostly try to correct his mistakes which he still can, apart from Kushina's death and making Naruto the Kyuubi's Jinchuuriki.

There are all kinds of possibilities but I would have to make a completely different prediction for that: I think that his half will be freed from him when his edo is released. Minato might be on his way to reaching closure right now, but I can't predict whether my prediction will happen really soon or later on. There isn't much left he can do with only one arm, but he's done a few things.
