Why don't the Hokages use their clones?

SO we know that the hokages can't regenerate cause of Obito's magic. But why can't they just use shadow clones to get close to Obito?

Better that they keep all their chakra in the one form, unless a clone is required, like Tobirama using a clone to teleport the Juubi bomb.

Same with the actual hokages. If you have unlimited chakra might as well use clones and power them up so you don't have to die.

yeah but you don't know how long it will take for him to react.

There are really only three people on the battlefield (four if you count Madara) that would be able to use clones effectively against Obito. Hashirama and Naruto would have enough chakra to be able to split their chakra and still put out worthwhile clones. Minato has the other half of Kurama. Everybody else would pretty much just be killing themselves if they used clones and made themselves weaker.

It has been noted by Tobirama that the clones are too slow and inefficient (hence Minato using his body for the FTG switch move.

However, Tobirams did use a clone to suicide bomb Obito.

They may have endless amounts of chakra but here's an example.

Minato has 100 chakra.

He makes a clones, both now have 50 chakra.

That 50 chakra limits what they can do. They may never run out of chakra, but it limits what they can do.

Say Rasengan takes 60 chakra, neither the original or clone has enough chakra since his chakra is split in two.

FTG takes 30 chakra, he can use this and his Edo form will automatically replace the used 30 chakra.

Does that make sense? I know it's not even close to accurate, but it's the amount of chakra he can use, no the amount he has.

Because it would halve their chakra even if their chakra reserves are not exhausted because their edo. For example, lets say that Tobirama has 1000 chakra units. If he makes a clone, he'd have 500 and the clone would have 500 and only when that clone disappears he'd get back to 1000 chakra units.

I came up with a nice Edo Tensei chakra system.. <.<
the edo still have a chakra network .. so that means they still have chakra points.. <.< but nvm.

the clones are real and not illusions.. they are real clones like the kind naruto uses.. they are actually physical.
