Nate Grey was said to be on par with Dark phoenix. Cable,who's genetically the same, when not suppressing the technorganic virus was said to be able to extinguish a star with less than a conscious thought. Jean Grey also stopped the Mikan crystal from destroying the universe. Rachel Summers, with a smaller fraction of the phoenix than Jean, solo'd Galactus, who can do pretty much anything. A thousandth of a thousandth of his power was enough to fodderize the Thing. The phoenix is the source of all mental and life energy and is the source of all mutations. The only thing that hold back her power is to preserve her energies for the next generation. Take that away and you've got someone far more powerful than even Onslaught(he overpowered Juggernaught's magical protection with only Xavier's and Magneto's powers).
