We don't know anything about the other half of kurama, but I'm pretty sure the one we know and love was the evil one. It was this half of the biju that was pouty, controlling, and scheming, and only allowed Naruto his power at first because he hated Madara more.

But this biju automatically gave Minato his strength without that "initiation test" Naruto had to take, which would only happen were the other half willing to give it.

If this is so, then this new half of the Biju is Yang Biju. Yang is associated with the body of the Sage (the younger son). You can see where I'm going with this. If Naruto gets the new half of the biju, not only will he have more chakra and higher defensive tanking abilities, but he will finally be able to mix Biju Mode and Sage Mode, because the Body of The Sage is associated with Sage Mode.
