So, I feel the whole point of this Edo Tensei war was to show that the current generation has surpassed the prior, but Kishi kinda lost himself in all these resurrections. As you can see, no shinobi has surpassed Hashirama and Madara. Juubito is proof of SO6P's power because he's a junior sage. The Juubi he's controlling isn't even complete (He only managed to get SOME of Kuruma's and Hattsan's chakra). So Nobody surpassed him either. And bringing back the old Kages only proves that the Shinobi of yesterday can only be defeated by the shinobi of yesterday. My question: Is it too late to redeem this generation of Shinobi?

You are half right.....think about this entire war, it is literally the new generation stomping the old one right?...give it time and I think naruto will bust out some stuff with sasuke and defeat juubito / madara thereby proving they are superior to the old generation. You are right in this specific fight it hasn't happened because they are trying to drag it out, but just like all the other fights in the war it will.
