Time it takes to: Open, read, and comment on a One Piece Thread - Approximately 1-3 minutes

Time it takes to: Watch the whole One Piece series (let's say each episode is 20 minutes, excluding the openings and endings) - 20 x 606 (so far) = 12120 minutes ÷ 60 = 202 hours

So basically, ain't nobody got time fo' dat.
hahaha u calculated it all

Don't listen to this guy. If you want to enjoy One Piece, you have got to enjoy it to the fullest, from the start.
Well no. Ik tons of people who haven't started it from the beginning and love it. I love OP more than Naruto I started that from the beginning soooo ya? This guy is the one you shouldn't listen to. You will understand once you have caught up.

Yes, they didn't start from the beginning. Thus, they didn't know who the f*ck Shanks was when he showed up for the first time to them.

Ya feel me? Makes sense if you think about it.

They also wont know who Brook and Franky are?
Thats why I clearly said they will pick stuff up?
Reread my previous post and please try not to multipost. You can quote more than one person in a single reply yknow?

There is no such thing to say late. You would enjoy watching from first episode and you wish to go slowly with the anime. Every episode you finish, you just get crazy and excited for next.

Well I never started from the beginning and im probably more knowledgeable than most who have spent hours watching the entire series (mainly cos I have no life :|)

My friend started it from the beginning and is thinking of skipping straight to the war arc.
I started from Saboady Archipelago.

If anyone is interested in starting from here (which I recommend) here are the links for where they start in the anime and manga ^_^ from here if you keep watching you eventually pick up on stuff. Then once you have caught up go back and read a few arcs if you have the time. Most you could skip and just read about on a wiki or something. People will say it doesn't have the same effect but this is the quickest way.

Just ... No

On topic, watch all of it or youll miss out too much stuff, if you just want to watch it from the war do that but that will mean you skipped much more than half of OP and basically watched what in manga is only the last 15 volumes (out of70) than dont pretend like you are a real fan

I probably know more than you? So ya aha and I do consider myself a real fan. If you read further into my post I do say I went back to read the arcs I missed?

I literally started watching last week and i'm on episode 44. There is build up but it's all enjoyable to watch.

If big boom anime fights are all that matter to you then I wouldn't bother but for some great storytelling, characters and fun- watch One Piece from the beginning. Just finished the early Arlong Park arc and it was AMAZING.
