Why didn't Tobirama FTW away when his squad was ambushed

It seems like Tobirama has a seal somewhere in the village (he used FTG just after they had been edo tensei'd). So when his squad was ambushed he could have simply FTG'd away with them instead of sacrificing his life..

about the dying moments thing.. if they left instead of Tobirama deciding to sacrifice himself.. the group after them would have just went to the Leaf village to kill them.. >_>

The enemies would have dared to attack the village. Even if they did, Tobirama would have had prepped time..

Let's just say it's a plot device.

He was notably damaged/worn so it may not have been an option. It could also have been the force was really close. His rise in chakra may have detected them...causing his team a possibility of casualties.


Instead he took the most assured way for them to live: Decoy and sacrifice. Additionally, it's plausible they had an objective so retreat to Konoha wasn't an answer.

So, why didn't the Second mark his desk for something. If he were to be ambushed, he could just teleport himself and his squad to safety.

you're right .. but I was wondering maybe Tobirama's doesn't last forever like Minato's does.. <.<
maybe his only lasts for a limited time only.. like what if Minato was given something with Tobirama's seal on it and MInato arrived on the battlefield to stop the TBB , he left the item carrying Tobirama's seal on the battlefield somewhere and Tobirama arrived using that location.. with the other Hokage.. >.>
