Is water style the strongest single elemental release?

If we don't include combination of more than 1 elements (kekei genkai, jinton, touta) water style is possibly the strongest elemental release because of its many possibilities.

This include blood bending, the ability to control other people by manipulating the blood of the user just like in Avatar.
Also since the world is mostly made up of 75% water, it is possible to drown the entire world, killing all mouth breathers and people without flight ability.

Someone with a strong chakra like the Sage of Six paths should be capable of such feats.

No water is good because of its fluidity if you have just water inwouldnt say its as good as say earth or lightning by its self because its just not powerful enough. Now water combined with other element is great because it adds fluidity to already powerful elements

I'd say it would stand as the strongest element; however, it was not so because of sheer power, but instead versatility.


When it comes to pure offense...Katon reigns supreme. In terms of piercing damage...Raiton wins. With wind style you have powerful offense, but most importantly its ability to be added to shuriken, kunai, or katana.

Doton rules the defensive world.



However, Suiton can do almost everything. The water style provides great offense. Allowing one to fire things such as water dragons or super shark bombs to cause extreme internal damage or broken bones. However, unlike the other elements it holds a good defense with things like Water Walls and syrup traps.

The sheer amount of diversity that Suiton holds makes it able to handle a plethora of scenarios that the other elements may not be suited for.

You can't create chibaku tensei with earth style alone. It is a gravity base technique made possible only via Rinnegan.
I'm pretty sure it falls in the special class (yin) element to be exact.
