Seeing as though Kishi put quite a bit of effort into upgrading Sakura so that team 7 could be seen as the new Sanin, does it make Sakura's upgrades a waste of time now that she has been completely forgotten?
All we see are signs that Sasuke and Naruto will be the two relevant characters in the end which is fine with me, but wouldn't it be cool to make Sakura more respectable when being compared to Naruto and Sasuke?
At this point she needs slug sage mode to be relevant and it would have to make her super cool and at least make her a more respectable member of team 7 when abilities are compared. As it stands there is nothing for her to except heal fodder. She's not fit to even be in the same area of the battle field as Naruto and Sasuke.
With a slug sage mode she'd be able to help. I'm not saying make her equal in power with Naruto or Sasuke, that would be too far fetched. Just put her at a level where she can at least participate in the Juubito battle and fair better than Hiruzen.
Here are my ideas for slug sage mode.
1.) When she is attacked or split in half her body is not damaged or destroyed but slugs pull her bk together like Oro's snake.
2.) Instant self heal from any attacks that harm her and immunity from poison.
3.) She can perform slug senjutsu which gives her ranged attacks like Gamakichi only hers would be slug slim that Juubito can't destroy due to its senjutsu nature.
4.) The ability to divide her self like a slug without a decrease in power. One of her selves would be healing people while the other fights
5.) This mode should come with a draw back like it makes her skin completely white like Katsuyu's skin and it should require her to combine with Katsuyu to remain in slug sage mode for more than 5 minutes and alter her looks in an unfavorable way.
