Why Minato seems so mentally broken.

I see a lot of people saying that Minato is stupid and he is dumb.
But you got to realise that he is now in the state where he is doubting himself, because his enemy is his student and when Obito starts to talk trash then it starts to really get to Minato.

It is just like Kakashi who was shocked when he saw obito and he even called himself scum, but as the time went on he got over it.
So i guess Minato will get over it as well, probably next chapter after he saw naruto defending him, he will start to think normal.

Minato just needs a break. Maybe a brief pause in time for him to eat a twix bar and rethink his strategy. His son's not giving up and neither should he.

I kind of figured this would happen when Minato started to travel to the battlefield. A lot of people said that Minato was going to be angry but I knew he would be depressed and broken not angry over the Obito situation.

these are well written characters with a great dialogue/show emotions.

so i don't know how someone can read this and all they can come up with is "he is stupid" :eww: (that's not reading/understanding).

minato is torn by his guilt (his student turned out to be the biggest threat to the shinobi world) so how can you expect someone to be sharp and focused after going through this, and please stop paying attention to anyone who says something like that.

there is a lot more to this series than, "who attacked first" and "who didn't attack". U_U great characters go unnoticed because of this mentality (wasting the hours the writer put in these characters/looking only their attacks without considering anything).

Could not have been said better than this. This man knows empathy. The characters kishi creates are more complex than people make them out to be.
