It's possible he's called a rare genious due to his battle prowess (creating all those jutsu, and his keen battle analysis etc). Like i already stated above, it appears his genius extends through battle, and he's most like an idiot (like naruto) in every other aspect. Eg. Rocklee is called a genius of hard work. Sasuke is called a genius (yet he's not as keen on battle analysis like tobirama)

Other people try to claim BM would be useless for minato. Re-read the latest chapter and try to disect it. 1 It's basically a foreshadow as SA needs all the help they can get. Minato has already plucked away chakra to get into KCM. All he needs is kyuubi's assistance for BM. Considering naruto was able to change the heart of the other half, it's highly likely minato's half would start assisting him, if not only to help his other half out. I mean, seriously, why else would kishi have it begin talking to minato all of a sudden? Minato apparently wasn't even aware of it's presence.

Naruto is base off the character Goku "obviously" This is how kishi wanted his character to be. I thought him saying he loved DBZ, and calling one of the bijuu "goku" was proof enough. When it came to goku, he was stupid, in fight's he was a completely different person. Naruto is the same way, "personality wise" Kishi did this to bring more laughter to the story. We have seen so much of goku personality in Naruto, it's not even hard to see anymore. Look at this chapter when he try to go BM???? 1. Honestly, I don't think Minato could be qualified as a Jin. Just because Kurama's other half showed up doesn't make Minato a Jin, in my opinion. And I really don't want to see him in BM. That should totally be Naruto's thing. Personally, I'd much rather he give Naruto the other half of Kurama and let his son have full Bijuu Mode.
