It is in my belief that Kurama Sage Mode is approaching. I feel that Kishi is hinting it at us.
1. Kurama tells Naruto to avoid using the total bijuu mode. He doesn't say he isn't going to give him chakra, which he most likely did. He merely said not to use the total bijuu mode. It's likely that Kurama could break out and he's just warning Naruto.
Directly after that, Gamakichi uses a technique that is based off of nature energy. Which I then think gives Naruto the idea of Sage Mode. That's why he has an exclamation mark here:
Now my whole theory is based on the conversation he had with Kurama, about the chakra. It is completely tactless to use a massive monster to fight a human that will solo you in 1 move. Thus, why Naruto continues on with Sage Mode.
Tobirama also understands that Naruto is charging Nature Energy, due to his amazing sensing abilities.
He says, "He Realized" after calling him dumb. In the panel before that, you can see Gamakichi's attack still dripping off Rikubito's attack. Then after the rasegan, Kishi brings up Kurama again, when talking to Minato. Directly after Minato mentions senjutsu and Jiraiya.
I don't actually expect anyone to go along with this, I just wanted to view my opinion on why I think a Kurama powered SM is coming. I think Naruto, who has recently perfected his chakra control(TBB), will successfully mix Kurama's chakra and Nature chakra together. Again, it's just my view, and I personally think this will defeat Rikubito and be pretty damn boss.
