His foe could see him but he couldn't see his opponent, Goku didn't need his eyesight because he could feel his Ki. I know that a Shinigami dosen't have Ki, however Goku has another means to see his opponent, not just the feel of Ki.

I think the original thread creator was asking which one was better, now what verse would win if they fought against each other. I would say Death Note was better by far.

Death Note had the better plot, story and twist. I liked Dbz more though. Dem fight scenes!

It's hard to compare these two. One's a anime solely for fighting while the other one is a anime about a Death Note.
