For those of you who were once apart of NB when Kumi was around then you know what it is and the basic yet primitive function it served. It was little more then a number listed under your post count and didn't serve any given purpose besides using it to wager on battles, pay for artwork or customs trades, and/or other misc. things. Kumi after not impacting Narutobase in anyway was taken down and forgotten. I propose a completely new system that will in turn make NB a much more lively place in specifically the Roleplaying System.
I. What is Kumi?
Kumi is Narutobase's digital currency for use by its members to exchange goods and services between one or more members. In this iteration of the system, one can use Kumi to purchase many things that make the roleplay system what is today. The main use of the currency is to purchase a specific item or ability that would otherwise take a member much longer to obtain by other means.
II. How do I get more?
In the previous system, members could battle one another and place a wager on the battle. The winner of course took home the spoils. This would encourage members to finish their battles and prevent the number of unfinished fights in the Battle Arena. Not only can one battle another member, but by completing a missions set by the Kage in the Ninja World RP a squad or individual could earn a wage depending on the mission parameters. This opens up the ability for members to take up Mercenary positions functioning a missing nin. A Bingo Book could be set up for those who wish to risk thier lives to reap the rewards of claiming a bounty on a well known and powerful member of the RP. Or even allow those who are proficient in Graphic Design to sell their masterpieces for a small fee. Of course their are many more options, but I won't go into them this instant.
- Purchasing and Selling
Many members dread the length it takes in order to obtain a certain ability. Why not put a price tag on it? A member would be able to see an ability they want and be able to buy the use of it. Example -
Sound Jutsu is a powerful field of ninjutsu that only so many have access to leaving it inaccessible to other members who do everything they can to try and obtain the ability. To be able to purchase the permission for use, one must first be able to pass the requirement that enables one to use the technique. Let's say Sound Jutsu cost a whopping 500,000 Kumi to obtain. An active member in the RP will be able to eventually save up enough Kumi by being active in thier village, successfully winning battles and so on and so forth. Of course all standard rules and restrictions apply.
Selling is also an option when trying to obtain more Kumi. Many members have spent years developing customs while newer generations tend to have little to nothing to trade when they see a member has an interesting technique. A member can sell his jutsu to another member for a cost agreed on by both parties.
III. Why bring it back?
As I stated in my introduction I feel a proper induction of Kumi back to the RP may bring a positive response to the RP in general. Villages will have the ability to compensate their members for successfully completed task givingthe NWRP a much more real feeling to it rather then just senseless war and members will do more to finish a battle they have started in an attempt to earn more Kumi. It will also give members goals when looking to obtain further abilities to fit their bios and would also lessen the hassle on Mods when it comes to permissions for test and abilities.
In closing, I could have gone very much more in detail with the system but I felt it wasn't necessary to write a super long post in which to convey my full thoughts to the people for something that is nothing more then a mere suggestion. If it's at some point seen as something that could actually make it into production once again.
