Yata Mirror covers 360 protection?

Probably not, but if the Sharrigan is as keen as the legends say, it shouldn't need too, the user should notice the attack.

I am not sure it does... but i know that it was covering a very large portion at the very least.


When provided with the Viz scan, i remember seeing in the Sasuke fight that when Sasuke threw explosive tags to Itachi, the Yata's mirror expanded to protect everypart of Susano that could have been it.

I might as well just go grab the page, but it was covering more than half of Susano's body with the mirror.

To me it seems like it expands to as much is it needed to.... so while it may very cover Susano entirely, it may require "time'' to fully cover it...

Thats assuming he can have Susano up all the time, which is obviously inccorect.

He may very well be overpowered if he keeps it up with the Yata's mirror... but the chakra cost obviously increases as well.... so it's not something he can have on all night... he would just pop it when needed.

So yeah we could say that when he has it on, he is overpowered and pretty much invincible.

more like he swung his shield. If it gave 360 protection he shouldn't even have to move since that's a waste of already low chakra.

Itachi would've only had enough time to evoke a skeletal Susanoo and Kirin did break through Susanoo, as you can see Itachi's cloak was burned off.

I feel like this...it can. But it hasnt been shown or said to has it? If not then it cannot cover a complete 360 degrees. Unless it has been said or shown to. But imho I believe that it can. It is said to repel any attack though...wouldn't it also include underground attacks? As it repels all? Idk...tbh I really can't say I'm not too keen on it. Just in my opinion I believe it can.

Doesn't Yata Mirror change shape/form to block any attack? I think I recall reading something like that in the Databook - can't remember though.

Yes it does & it is a fact.

It can change every one of its properties, size & shape are properties, combine this with the fact that its an ethereal tool without a physical form & you can say that's its confirmed that it can change its shape.

There's even manga evidence showing the yata mirror change its size which it does to cover the head of susanoo, there is nothing stating that it cant cover the rest of it.

Yeah I agree, there were some scans in the sasuke fight where Yata was blocking the kunai explosions




If this is the case than, I believe that edo itachi is a tad underrated here. Edo Itachi > KCM Edo Minato
