Wait a sec... Madara has the rinnegan as an edo. He has access to the rinnegan powers... Wouldn't that technically make it possible for him to bring himself back to life? LOL... Why hasn't he done this by now?

Good question. The short answer is I don't know. The long one is that rinne tensei can probably only be used on another person.

It's a two step process. When one uses Rinne Tensi (or whichever one it is), the soul leaves where ever it is, then it finds it's new body and inhabits it. If he were to use it on himself, his soul would leave the ET body, and since his body is now soulless, the jutsu would stop before it could be transferred into it's new body. Basically, it would just result in Madara no longer being an Edo, and not alive either.

i don't know about that,izanagi can be used to reverse a reality that happened and reverted back before the exact moment izanagi was activated,means if he used it before using rinne tensei he'll just revert back to being with an edo body with only one eye(cost of izanagi),also using izanagi will make him way weaker since he won't be able to use susanoo with only one eye.
