Theory on The Sage of Six Paths.

I've been thinking recently, about the sage, and how he could have possibly been so powerful as to subdue the Jubi, single handedly. I mean..before the sage, there was no jutsu, no knowledge of chakra, etc, etc.. So, how could the Sage be so immensely powerful?

After a while of considering, I came to the conclusion that the Sage, and the Jubi, may have been, at one point, one entity. Sort of like..Yin/Yang..Good/Evil? Sort of like how Kami and Piccolo used to be a single, highly powerful being in Dragon Ball/Z..

I believe that, at some point, the Sage, and the Jubi split apart; The sage having been the good, and Jubi having been the evil. The sage kept logic, and rational self independence, while the Jubi was a beast of mass destruction, and little reason of its own (like the Biju were said to be before being sealed into a Jinchuriki.)

From this, I think that the power between the two was split about evenly. However, going by my theory, if the Sage kept his rational, it would only make sense that he would have the thinking, and means to subdue the Jubi? Just my opinion, anyway...thoughts?

well no one even thought of the existence of the electricity but they found and evrything like that

the sage was the one that invented the ninshu(ninjutsu)so we can safely say he had enough ninjutsu fuijutsu,and so on to go against the juubi plus he had blessed eyes(the rinnegan)if the sage and the juubi were once one as you said, then there will be no need for them to splitup,the one with more self independence and brains(so6p) will be able to subdue the brute evil(juubi) without them splitting up,so your fact and logic is wrong.

So does this make his descendants demi gods? If their power was split evenly why would the sage die and not the Jubi?

Maybe, but:

The sage was the first person to discover the secrets of chakra, and he was the perfect combination of senju and uchiha powers, with no blood thining, and we know he was incredibly proficient in sealing techniques, I think he was just that good.


Now if we go by some theories that say the Sage gained the senju and uchiha powers from Juubi, your theory could be somewhat true.

Very good thread op, I really like this theory

but one problem in dragon ball... Kami's death could mean death of King picoolo/Picoolo Jr. and conversely.

We know that Sage of six paths died from old age... and Juubi's chakra/power so then Juubi could die too...

But Juubi was divided by Sage and is still living and it can't die most likely...

Unless Sage is still alive but in kind of sleep/dream/temporary death waiting for his successor or dividing Juubi into new existences The Sage broke such contract with meaning that Juubi died, but new beings were created.

I couldn't be suprised if Kishi pull out something like that because Kishi is great fan of Dragon ball so it could be same or at least simillair
