Yes. It gave Minato a chance to shine and show off his stuff, Tobirama a chance to do something as well, and Hiruzen to prove his worth again.

There's also the chance of some new dialogue between Kakashi, Juubito and Minato.

And Hiruzen and Onoki's teamup will certainly be awesome.

"I don't like edo hokages' hogging the paneltime.

I don't care abut their characters. They don't even have characteristics that would make them more than 2 dimentional. Hiruzen and Minato had their time already. Their death was great. Other than them; they are bland; they were not around for 600 + chapters. They are dead. They can't get injured. They can't die again. There is nothing appealing about them fighting because i would not give a **** about what would happen to them. They are mere fragments of the past. What they have? Power. The sole reason why some people reading this manga. They can't offer anything other than power and that's what people look in a character. They wont get a development; and to be fair i would not care if some zombies are getting development. Now; the SA is sitting on his ass doing absolute nothing. Weren't Bee and Gai going against Jins and Obito? What the hell are they doing? I would care more about them because they are "characters" which can offer something with their development or death.

In conclusion; idgaf about hokages. Nothing really. Zero. Zombies should have stayed in their graves since the current generation should be able to save its own ass. Don't bring me "lel most are fodder" crap. It was mangaka's job to decide power of antogonists and other characters."

This was somethign i posted in another thread actually. My thoughts haven't changed.
I don't like their revieval; there is so many things "off" with it. New generation can't do shit. Why? Because author decided to do so. It was his decision whether make Gokage and others look so much weaker or not.

Who are fighting right now? 4 zombies and 2 main characters with plot shield. So much tension for you. What hokages could have done could be covered in mini history arcs. That would be cooler.

All these kids on this website care too much about what their favs can do and what feats they can showcase every week. They focus on how strong they're instead of the story and messages Kishimoto is wonderfully displaying.NB is flooded with blind readers.

As i said; it was author's decision to take care of power levels and who would look like "fodders" or "Gods". Or what can people come up with in terms of offense and defense.

There is no point on being "realistic" since this is a supernatural story; and anything can happen according to author's decision. If we would go be "realism" months ago; hokages would not even get revieved due to them being sealed in shinagami; but author made them get revieved. Everything happens like this.

And i am not hating hokages; to be fair them being back as zombies who are getting blown to bits while fighting is not justice to their character. They would be cooler if they were seen in mini history arcs, while they are alive and can show "character" development. They would appear as figures who seem to matter at their time as far as characteristics and politics goes while showing feats; now they seem like mere fragments of the past who happened to be in battlefield.

That's just my opinion though...

I only care for Hiruzen. Edos being good isn't that fun.

I'm completely ok with it. We get to see Minato and Tobirama display techniques and we got to see the VoTE fight by extension of their revival. Realistically, this generation wasn't going to win the war, you have to tell yourself that. Especially now, in this predicament, they would already have been put in Mugen Tsukyomi.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so

Well Obito was always going to be the 10 tials Jinchuuriki, and Madara according to previous hype was always going to be strong as hell.. In other for the power scale to be balanced the Hokages IMHO had to be revived

Each for their own.
I just think it is up to author's decision to choose what can a character can do in this story.

Kishi wants to show the full might of the Five Hokages. That's why he revived the previous ones and kept alive the current one.

The Alliance was doomed, bringing the Hokages was actually a decent move by Kishi, he just isn't using it well.
Hashi, Tobirama and Madara gained character development and we got to know about their past which was great. One problem is that the manga is going relatively slowly with unnecessary talk and both plot and action suffer with that. Everything is pretty much a mess now and panel time should be more well distributed.
