Just wanted to vent some. I'm a PhD student in Structural Engineering and I have to use MFC Object Oriented C++ programming to work with my adviser. I'm not a computer programmer and want to throw my computer out the window everyday. I don't think words exist that are strong enough to represent my hatered towards programming.

Just wanted to vent some.

That encourages me very much... specially when I'm a 2nd year bachelor student in programming <_> xD
Good Luck to you. I can write programs to do most thing of a mathematical or physical nature being an engineer, but I prefer to use matlab or at least if c++ then non-object oriented.

Nooooooo C++ ftmfw!! Are you out of your mind? Just give it some time, study it better and you will realize that with C++ you can do anything easy peasy!

Dem pointers though. I can understand if you hate them, I liked Java just because they don't exist there. But they are so damn useful in C++. Tricky, but useful.
