What do you think about this?:
Mukuton takes water and earth manipulation.. not because it is required to "make" the mukuton but Rather to nourish it! it might work the same as those insect dudes!
Yin/Yang release is required to make it grow as fast as it does
Now i know what Yamato said about it.. but don't you think he might have oversimplified it to make it understandable to Naruto?
Seeing how Naruto can make mukuton grow with his chakra, it made me wonder and now i think this is the answer
It would also explain why when orochimaru tried to create someone that can use mukuton, it would deflect the body..
Yamato's lack of yang energy made it possible to use this jutsu without it taking over his body.. it could not reproduce, it could only grow
When a plant grows vegitative it grows no leaves or new twigs.. when it grows generative it will create twigs and leaves and flowers to create offspring.. -
a plant goes into generative mode When it feels bad.. say is has too little water or it has little food or the temperature is too low, it will go into generative mode.. when it feels great it stays vegetative
I think the yin energy can balance the "mindset" of the mukuton and make it grow accordingly
