Well they did almost kill Tobirama and you know of the threads that were posted. Out of all the top strongest shinobi lists they weren't listed at all. (At least from what I've seen) Ay said they were terrifying despite his bravery and power. Darui got lucky by using his second most used word more than his first at the last second. They are said to be the descendants of the sage and possess the ninetails chakra and wield the treasures. I personally think they should be in the top 20 list at around 15 or something..

I agree and only reason they are able to take on Tobirama is there are 18 highly skilled shinobi with Gin & Kin bro's and Tobirama is alone if Tobirama had one or 2 sacrifices from his side like Darui Iam Sure Tobirama would have Killed them regardless of thire advantage with tools and chakra..............

it was more of a tribute to the power of those treasure, which in all real aspect were pretty weak in their own right, more than a tribute to their strength... as it pertains to them personally, they got eaten by the nine tails and survived off of eating its chakra... everything else about them is using a barrowed attribute; the nine tails chakra (transformations and chakra supply), and using the treasured weapons (which is made possible by the nine tails buffing their chakra reserves)... they themselves are nothing special...

They should have been very strong, in theory. Now, I don't like using the term "plot" but what happened to them was exactly this. Kishi clearly brought them out just so Obito could gather some Kyuubi chakra without capturing Naruto.

He didn't beat 10,000 ppl but he chalenged that many and died in 3 day's no one knows how many are dead.......!
