Goku is known for his cheerful, energetic personality and his love of competition (specifically sport fighting and eating). He has remarkable intuition at seeing the good in others in spite of their actions, though his capacity for forgiving his enemies has occasionally been criticized as excessive; Goku, for the most part, only fights to win, and spares his enemies after defeating them only for them to attack him when his back is turned. His staggering power is simultaneously reined in and enhanced by his fierce loyalty and morality. Goku can also be very blunt, and not afraid to express his opinion in a discussion.

Background Info
History:
Goku was born on the night of his clan being murdered by the Tyrant called Frieza. Frieza was a merciless ninja who he and his men would burn and steal anything in their way,including people.
Unlucky for goku, his clan fell victim to this mad man. Goku's father who was called Bardock tried to fend off frieza and his men long enough for his wife and goku to get far away from the battle. Bardock did all he could, even sacrificing himself in order to buy them time, however Frieza's men caught up with goku and his mother.
Killing Goku's mother, Frieza laughed in the face of an innocent Goku while drawing his sword. But before he could strike, a shuriken hit the leg of frieza causing him to shout out in agony. Looking for the fool who tried to kill him, Frieza ordered his men to search the area. The mystery ninja, bombarded the area with smoke bombs concealing his presence long enough to grab goku and get out from there. With the smoke now cleared, Frieza saw nothing more than he and his men.
Angry inside, Frieza headed back to his empire, while vowing one day he shall kill that man and the child.
The man who rescued goku was a old lonely man called Gohan. Gohan raised goku like one of his own. Teaching him all about the ninja world and the use of chakra. It was at the age of ten when goku graduated from the nearby ninja academy. Gohan knew it was time to enter Goku in the taijutusu tournament.
