An RP for the Shaman King fans here on NB!
This RP takes place in the year 500. This RP is situated 500 years before Hao was born ; keep in mind technology is very simple compared to the manga (1500 years later).
For those whom are not familiar with the series that wish to take part: Shaman king heavily involves shamanism. There is a tournament for Shaman every 500 years to determine the Shaman King. The Shaman king would attain the power of the great spirit. Granting them omnipotence and omniscience.
A shaman will use a guardian spirit to utilise powers for battle etc. Spirits can be of godly, human or animal origin. A shaman can imbue the spirit into a medium ( an object ) creating what we call a OS Granting the object powers and traits of the spirit. A OS grows stronger over time as the shaman grows stronger and eventually changes form. OS can be even stronger when using two medium instead if one.
Reiryoku measures a spirits power. Kami class have Reiryoku over 100,000 but no spirit ( other than the great spirit ) had more Reiryoku than 700,000. Lets keep it realistic and not overpower ourselves.
Seirei class: Weaker spirits that are normally human or animal ; occasionally mythical but mythical spirits of the Seirei class are weaker than Kami class , but Seirei class OS can use two medium and evolve to as many forms as we like. Seirei class often have powers and skills of normal humans and animals e.g flight of a bird or swordsmanship of a samurai
Kami class: often spirits of stronger mythical beings and gods or divine figures with immense power ; to make things fair Kami class OS can only have two forms and use only one medium , Kami class normally have superhuman powers
Rules:
-There are only 10 kami class spirits available. The five elemental spirits and five spirits we can create ourselves ( or use from the manga e.g Dai Tengu).
-If you have a Kami Class spirit you cannot use a double medium OS
-Seirei class spirits Reiryoku is capped to 99,999
-Kami class spirits Reiryoku is capped to 500,000
-You can either be a participant or an invigilator from the patch tribe.
-Only when this thread reaches 50 posts can a participant learn to use an OS
-Previous to 50 posts we can only put our guardian spirits in our bodies granting us their powers ( on a much weaker scale )
-Only patch tribe invigilators can use OS before the third page on this thread
-Invigilators are like the police ; they make sure participants are in order but cannot assist a participant ; if they do the participant is disqualified
- You require two profiles ; one of your participant or patch tribe member , the other of your guardian spirit
- as long as your profiles fit the criteria you can start role playing immediately
- When your OS evolves post it's new appearance and new powers to become increasingly identical to the spirit
