[Discussion] Don Flamingo's 2nd in command ( Diamante)

Your take on him?

In my opinion, Doflamingo's right hand man 2nd in line. From what we seen Doflamingo has left the task of hunting down Luffy to him while he tries to take care of Law with getting Ceaser back personally. He is known to be the hero of the coliseum so probably the strongest out of everybody in the coliseum? He also seems to be familiar with conquerers haki due to his comment on Luffy & DonChin clashing.

It's actually really hard for me to estimate his strength. Vergo seemed to be DD's 2nd in command, both in terms of intelligence and in strength. But Doflamingo, if I remember correctly, seemed very calm as he was having his final words with Vergo, so he must have a lot of confidence in the rest of his men. So I think Diamante is sufficiently strong, but not stronger than Vergo.

And as far as Diamante's knowledge about CoC, that's pretty obvious, I think. Doflamingo has it, so he has most definitely seen it be used before.
Mysterious character so far, and most likely a member of the long leg tribe even though we have not seen a full body view of him yet, or was this him?:

I hardly doubt that the Colosseum has probably never had this much attention before, but I doubt Doffy would just throw Diamante into the mix without a plan. I think he's at least stronger than Sai and Ideo, he has the diamond seat after all. Also this might be a stretch but Diamante has a little "trench" in his hat(if I only I knew how to post pictures), I wonder if that's a reference to the "Diamantina Fracture Zone" in the Indian Ocean. Again, it's a stretch, but Oda seems to name attacks and people after places.

Setting Diamante aside. Dressrosa was suppose to be a secret mission for the SH alliance. Sneak in, destroy the DF factory while Law makes the trade. It turns out, that the SH's were being watched from the moment they set foot on Dressrosa by the DonQuixote spies. They're slowly falling into the laid traps and is vastly out numbered even without the marine's help. The only thing that Doflamingo didn't take into account, was the army of Gnomes(which I think will be the the key in defeating the Donquixote family) and the citizens of Dressrosa that hated him, which might end up turning the tides of these losing situations later on.

I predict he's from the long-legged tribe and he only uses his legs. So with that said, I think Zoro will be the one to fight & defeat him. Furthermore, as for the diamond relation, I think he's name is that not because he is of diamond/has diamond related powers, but something to do with status. Cause the theme of the Donquixote family is a deck of cards, and the diamond is a suit, hence he's name his Diamante. Just like Trebol can translate to club; and Trebol is the one who sits on the club seat. Moreover, I doubt Trebol has a club related power.



Speaking of Trebol, Sanji shall most definitely be his opponent (Violet's boss, flattened Nami's tits, raped Baby 5, etc). And I predict that he is a master swordsman.



Meaning, Zoro (swordsman) will fight & defeat Diamante (leg based Kenpo), whereas Sanji (leg based Kenpo) will fight & defeat Trebol (swordsman).

Hori is not capable of making sensible posts on his/her own. They said Zoro was Mihawks equal....

On topic: not only are you wrong in quite a few ways but you fail to understand he is not the first mate. There are four family leaders positions , one is vacant. But the family leaders are all second in command. Diamanté is not the only one.

Seeing as Bellamy has as chance of being a FL Diamanté will not be overpowered. IMO the family leaders are roughly equal to SANJI in strength meaning Luffy could beat him in the tournament.
