Basic Information
Name: Theodore Higgins
Nickname: Regent of the Mask| Lord of Alchemy
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown
Clan: Binkan

Looks

First Life: Theodore Higgins

In the years that Theodore considered his first life, he was an incredibly hansom man. He had long blond hair which spanned down the back, either in an ordinary ponytail or a braided one. He had light blue eyes and a rather gentle face. His naturally kind and gentle demeanor, Theodore generally kept a soothing smile, admired by most as reassuring something that brightened up even their darkest days. He had an average height and build and fair skin.

Second Life: New Theodore Higgins

In Theodore’s second life, his appearance changed in many regards. The first notable change was his long blond hair, which went from a light blond to a rather dirty blond color and the length becoming shorter going from back length to barely touching his shoulders. His light blue eyes became darker and his facial expressions and attitude changed dramatically as well. After being reborn, Theodore had lost everything dear to him: his wife, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, and grandfather. His family, all he had, was taken away from him and that immediate stress changed him. His once kind and gentle smile had withered and he never smiled again for quite some time until his new personality finally kicked in. When he did smile again it was no longer reassuring but rather sadistically mocking. Also, his gentle face had become rather calloused after the loss of his loved ones.

Second Life II: Apprentice of the Dark Side

In his training in his second life, Theodore’s appearance went through several other transformations. The first major transformation began shortly after his second life began, which was his introduction to the Force. On the verge of death in his first life, Theodore was saved by the will of the Force. However, he found himself alone making him feel naturally saddened, depressed, and enraged. His inclination was to the Dark Side of the Force. He naturally stumbled onto the powers and eventually developed them further. The result of embracing the darkness that flowed through him was an alteration of his body. As a Sith, Theodore possessed a self-inflicted insomnia from his obsession with becoming more powerful. He had bags under his eyes, eyes that had become amber in the pupils and red around the edges. His fair skin darkened slightly as if tanned. Its gentle glow became rigid. Lack of grooming made his finger and toenails sharper and his overall appearance tattered. Generally he wore nothing more simple loose clothing under a dark brown robe.

Second Life III: Jedi Padawan

His second transformation was after his meeting of the members of the Binkan. He was told about the reasons behind his Force sensitivity and that he, like many others, had embraced the Dark Side. He had met Binkan studiers of the Light Side of the Force, who took to persuading the lost Theodore, to the light side. Lost as he was, Theodore had merely embraced the feelings that resided within him once he was reborn. The Jedi began to teach Theodore their ways, teaching him to let go of his pain and to embrace inner peace. His insomnia stopped and he felt himself calmer. His blue eyes came back and the redness and bags under his eyes left him. He had become cleaner and more in balance with himself. However, he soon felt the pull of members from of the Binkan who embraced the Dark Side as he once had. They tried to pull Theodore back into his old ways, believing that his suppressing his feelings was just the same as forgetting the ones he held dear. They said that his passion was his right and his definition of being human. This constant push and pull seemed detrimental at first; however, it would be this conflict that would turn him into one of the Regent, one of the first Grandmasters of the Binkan.

Second Life IV: Regent of the Mask

Currently, as the Regent of the Mask, he possess the same look as he did upon his second birth; short dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes. His attire as the Regent, is a tight black suit, typical of most shinobi of the modern era. This is the base, over this suit he wears metallic/almost robotic like forearm guards and gloves that cover the back of his hands only. On his legs, he wears matching black and gold guards and shoes. On his chest he wears a gold colored vest under a red, gray edged robe with an orange belt. He wears a red hooded shawl which buttons on his vest and a white and gold mask. This is his ordinary attire the Regent. Though he has several different variations of the same style of clothing (typically all gray or black variations). Rarely will the Regent ever be seen outside of this uniform, even if not in his full gear, he at least maintains his mask and a black robe that hides his body.

Personality

Compassionate Theodore

Just as his appearance has gone through many transformations, so has his personality. In his first life, Theodore was a very kind and gentle person. His personality was one of the many things admired about him by those around him. He was strong willed, dependable, and his natural optimism was almost contagious, brightening the days of many around him. This personality of his would be lost upon the deaths of the people closest to him and his rebirth in his second life.

Darkness of a Sith

After losing his wife, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, and grandfather, Theodore found himself alone and without any purpose. He quickly spiraled into depression and found himself lost in darkness. His anger and rage increased as his time alone progressed; angry that he couldn’t protect his family, jealous that he was alone while others clung to the ones they loved. He desired his family, he desired not to be alone, and he wanted power to make all his ambitions a reality. Because of his relationship with the Force, Theodore began to tap into the powers of the Dark Side, using the strength of his emotions and passion to fuel his gain of power. He became obsessed, which led to his self-inflicted insomnia and increase in greed. The anger that had begun his quest for power invited ambitious greed. His obsession with gaining power made him want more and more. His greed eventually became so strong that, at the peak of his Sith powers, he had forgotten the original reasons he desired power. It was simply a case of gaining for the sake of gaining, for the sake of being able to have the means to do what he desired. It was ironic.

Selfless Jedi

However, his personality would completely flip once he met his brother and sister Binkans. The members of the Jedi Order within the Binkan had brought back the memories of Theodore’s past life. They reminded him of why he wanted power. His passionate greed soon housed the feelings of sadness and anger he had pushed out years ago and he was conflicted. Self-trained in the arts of the Force, Theodore was stronger than most of the Binkan members that were formally trained to use their powers. His passion was stronger than most, the force was believed to have gifted him divinely with strength and the wisdom of how to harness it. When his heart had become conflicted again with the re-introduction of his painful past, his powers dropped dramatically. The confliction made him hesitant and caused him to second guess himself. He had taken to formal Jedi training to re-balance himself. He began to let go of his ambitions of gaining power for the sake of gaining as well as gaining power through selfish passion. He accepted the death of his family, as they had become one with the force. He had decided to use their memories and the make them proud by using the powers of the Force by the ideals of the Light Side, as they would’ve wanted. Theodore became strong again, holding onto those ideals of making his family proud and using them as his power.

Push and Pull of the Force

Again though, Theodore would face confliction within his personality, confliction that would transform him into who he is today. Opposite to the Jedi, the Sith believed in the very ideals that Theodore had first embraced in his introduction to the Force, strength through passion. Theodore had been so powerful as a Sith, the other members of the Sith felt it was a waste of his potential for him to stifle what was natural to him. Through the usual Sith tricks of temptation and deception, they tried to pull Theodore back over to the Dark Side. They used his new source of will and power against him. Instead of letting him accept the death of his family they reminded him of the pain they must have suffered in their final moments and reminded him of his inability to do anything; that they had indeed become the force but in an untimely manor, tainted by pain and suffering. They said the true honor of their memories would be to utilize the power they gave him to survive, to remember them and avenge them, to use his powers to protect those he would come to love after. These were entities that caused great conflict and confusion in Theodore’s mind and began to steer him back into the darkness. The masters of the Jedi Order pulled hard to keep him as well and Theodore found himself under constant stress and pressure from the pulls of each side of the Force. However, he soon became to understand the push and pulls of each side of the Force and his transformation into the Regent began.

The Regent, Balanced Grandmaster

Theodore, or The Regent, is a man balanced by both sides of understanding of the Force. It is this new balance, that came from both his Jedi teachers and Sith tempters, that has made The Regent despise and often enough, belittle both Jedi and Sith alike. To the Regent, the Jedi are passive fools who renounce the essence of their humanity for the sake of balance. They stifle emotions; they are dogmatic and hypocritical in their views as they try to achieve the utmost serenity. As for the Sith, the Regent believes they are little more than impulsive beasts who let their emotions drive their very being and are to selfish to ever truly enlighten their being. There are acceptations to this rule of course, high ranking masters on each side, who clearly understand the complexities of the Force and its pull; people who have the prospects of becoming, if not already so, like him but refuse to embrace both sides of the force. However, this new found distaste does not just apply to his fellow Binkan, but to all those who are like the Binkan. In essence, the teachings of the Binkan clan are the poles of humanity; darkness and light. People who love, who hate, who are indifferent, who are aggressive, who are passive, are all people under the philosophies of the Binkan teachings in one way or another.

However, The Regent’s actual personality towards people and humanity as a whole is rather unorthodox. He is a self-prescribed sociopath and sadist by human standards. He is playfully cynical and sadistic often speaking mockingly or sarcastically towards others. The Regent also has a disregard for life and overall, his actions and mannerisms are often thought of Sith like in nature. However, the ideals of The Regent are neither inclined towards the Sith nor the Jedi. He does not believe in the usage of blinding passion for power nor does he believe in suppressing strong emotion for the sake of clarity. He believes that passion be focused and controlled; learning how to use as little force possible to achieve goals. Instead of relinquishing his feelings of hatred, sadness, or suppressing them, he stores it and redirects it into his power and uses what is necessary.

“Emotion is a natural source of power, what kind of balance is there to lock it away? Just as well, what sense is there to mindlessly waste it all?”

In contrast to his disregard to human life, The Regent has been known to show mercy. What drives the Regent is not selfish passion or selfless compassion, what drives him is his will of the force. The will to blatantly maintain his understanding of balance through both cosmic sides of the force. Let what one feels flow and give them the strength and let people learn to control and manage that strength without suppressing it. Relinquish secular ambition and embrace natural will. Though the Regent is condescending, ruthless, and hateful, he is also joyful and sensitive (he still cries when Mufasa dies and Simba tries to wake him up in the Lion King T_T)

History:

Part I: The First Life of Theodore Higgins

Chapter I: Early Life

Theodore has transcended the natural human life span by several centuries. His exact age is lost even to him, however it is definitely far after the era of the Sage of Six Paths. However, in his first life, Theodore did not live on the current continent. He lived far westward in, what he recalls, as a relatively peaceful era.

Only a month before he was born, Theodore’s father was killed in the service of the army of the country they lived. Theodore was carried out to full-term within his mother, however, she had complications with his birth, causing her to die a few days after he was born, leaving a newborn Theodore and his older brother Cliff without parents. As a result, Theodore and Cliff were left in the care of their Grandfather Ashtear. Ashtear was a famous war general for his country and despite being of a relatively old age for the military, he was still an active participant in the army. Though his actions were cut short because of the responsibilities of taking care of Theodore and Cliff, he was a highly respected man and still consulted by the King and the army.

Despite being a military general, Ashtear was a rather kind hearted man. He was wise from experience, strong willed and dedicated. Hearing about the death of his only daughter after giving birth to his grandson made him leave the military without a moment’s hesitation to take care of his grandchildren. Astear’s parenting style was more firm than severe and strict. He utilized his boundless wisdom, morals, and discipline to raise both his grandchildren to be respectable citizens.

In the early years of his life, Theodore’s relationship with his older brother was strained with tension. Losing both his parents in such a short span of time caused immediate shock and fear, which soon turned to outright anger towards his brother. Cliff’s main qualm was that he blamed Theodore for the death of their mother, believing that if Theo wasn’t born then his mother would still be around. Cliff distanced himself and often picked on and tormented his brother. This went well into the teenage years of their lives. Theodore, as a result, faced deep depression and cast himself a shut in. He had few friends and intentionally kept his distance from people.

It wasn’t until he met a young oriental girl, who dug into his shell to become his first friend, that Theodore began to change. Saya McCloud, Theodore’s future wife, became his first friend and companion when he was a young teenager. Her kindness resonated with him to a great degree, leading Theodore to fall in love with her and to dedicate himself to her. Theodore broke out of his shell whenever it came to Saya; protecting her from bullies, being her pillar when her parents abandoned her and her sister, and doing whatever was necessary to make her happy without any hesitation. Theodore’s boldness spread beyond just Saya and became a general trait of his. Theodore was no longer a shy introvert; he was bold and became a person admired by his peers.

This transformation allowed him, to not only stand up to his brother, but allow for closure in their lives. In a heated argument, Cliff lashed out at Theodore, beating him half to death in a blind rage. Cliff unleashed all his feelings and Theodore took them all without raising a finger to his brother, who he held just as dear to his heart as Saya. After Cliff had unleashed all his fury, Theodore asked his brother what their parents were like, how they used to hold him and play with him, how they constantly said they loved him. What Cliff had lost, Theodore had longed for and wondered about painstakingly every day. Cliff released all his hatred for his brother, seeing the pain that was deep within him. Both of them were in pain and Cliff realized that his brother needed him. Though they were adults at this time, Cliff had sworn to take care of Theodore and make amends.

It wasn’t long after, that Theodore married Saya, with Cliff being his best man. Ashtear; who had become like a father to the McCloud sisters, walked Saya down the aisle and gave her away. For the first couple of years of their marriage, Theodore and Saya were incredibly happy. However, northward on the country, relations with bordering countries became strained with Theodore’s homeland and war broke loose. Over two decades without war or conflict, the force of the army had dwindled. Both Cliff and Theodore volunteered to join the service for their country and Ashtear returned to his post as a general. It was shortly after their departure on their first tour into the front lines that Saya discovered she was pregnant with their child.

Chapter II: Beginning of the Dying Light

In Saya’s first letter to Theodore explaining her pregnancy, Theodore was filled with joy and fear: joy that he was to become a father but fear that he could die before meeting his daughter. Theodore’s second letter from Saya filled his heart with dread. She had fallen ill 5 months into the pregnancy and her illness was said to be reaching the baby. Theodore tired but he could not get leave to tend to his wife. 3 months later, the illness was said to be fatal to the baby if not operated on. However, the result of an operation on Saya would most defiantly cost her life in the process. The last letter that Theodore received was from Mizuki, Saya’s younger sister, giving him the name of his baby girl Canna and the news of the death of his beloved.

The grief that struck Theodore was tremendous. It affected his service and nearly cost him his life. However, as promised, Cliff took care of his little brother. In a close quarters fight, Cliff took two wouns; one to the base of the spine and heart, shielding Theodore. Cliff died near instantly from the attacks but not before smiling to his brother, telling Theodore that he had more to live for.

It would be another year and a half before the war would end and Theodore managed to return home to his daughter. Canna McCloud, 3 years old, was waiting at the station with Mizuki for Theodore. Despite the joy of seeing the spitting image of his beloved in the face of his daughter, Theodore couldn’t overcome Saya’s or Cliff’s death. Just like Theo was for Saya, Mizuki became a pillar for Theodore. Mizuki and Theodore’s relationship transcended, bordering along the lines of romance as they bonded and made each other strong for their grief. Light had re-entered Theo’s life after a few years. Canna was growing and Mizuki was Theodore’s rock.

Chapter III: End of Theodore Higgins

Several years of peace passed before the last, and greatest blow to Theodore’s first life would commence. A series of natural disasters plagued the entire continent suddenly. Earthquakes, tornados, floods, typhoons, molten eruptions. These disasters possessed an ominous and unholy aura around them. The earthquakes shattered and leveled cities and divided the earth.

Those grand disasters caused severe panic throughout the nation as people tried to evacuate and look for shelter. Like everybody else, Theodore attempted to find safety for himself and his family. Having no knowledge of the origin, they headed eastward in an attempt to escape. Many ships had been organized by the country’s navy, which were to take the members of the country to one of the lands eastward under their imperialism. The ships filled to their capacity quickly and Theodore found it difficult to get his family to safety. One ship remained at the central port of the capital of the country and Theodore rushed his family through the city in an attempt to get them there. As they traveled a severe earthquake hit the entire country but the force had seemed to be strongest near the capital. And then a earthquake, large enough to rock the very foundation of the capital. The city had begun to implode. The initial hit from the earthquake caused the central buildings, the largest structures in the country, to collapse causing a massive storm of rock and debris to hail over the capital. Many within the capital were killed instantly; however Theodore and his family remained intact for the most part.

The city was nearly decimated, but the port and the ship had remained intact. They continued to head for the dock and Theodore came across a military friend who was in the same boat as him. Theodore had asked him to escort Ashtear to the docks for him. Ashtear had lost the use of his legs sometime after the war and was wheelchair bound. His friend being alone, Theodore figured it would be easier for him to take Astear across to the docks. As they traveled one of the aftershocks caused another building to begin its collapse. The group tried to outrun it until Mizuki’s foot got stuck between two rocks as she tripped. Canna noticed immediately and ran back to help, which caught the attention of Theodore. Theodore went after as well despite Mizuki’s cries to keep them away. The moment Canna came within arm’s length of Mizuki, Mizuki grabbed her and threw her into Theodore’s arms. The roar of the falling building muddled Mizuki’s words as it collapsed over top of her. Theodore and Canna were spared from the building, but Theo became hysterical, trying to move the fallen building and retrieve Mizuki. Canna had fallen to tears as she watched her father try to get to the woman she called mama. After several minutes, Theodore had found Mizuki, however her eyes were soulless and absent of life. He looked further to see the blood emanating from her torso, realizing the she had been split in two. Theodore knelt down traumatized with tears running down his face. The image of Mizuki’s lips at her final moments came into Theodore’s mind; they mouthed ‘live’. Theodore snapped out of his trance and looked back at his daughter. He wiped his face and took her, leaving Mizuki’s body behind, much to Canna’s protest. The two rushed over to the docks, however, the last ship had already left the port and began sailing off. Theodore couldn’t find his military mate or Ashtear on the dock, meaning the two of them had made it onto the ship. Theodore still had to worry about Canna and himself though.

Theodore knew of a small port only a few miles off the capital city. The port was a local fishing port where boats were commonly rented. Without hesitation, Theodore took off to the port with Canna. They ran along the coast for nearly an hour before another large explosion happened. Theodore’s eyes widened as he realized his grandfather was dead as well. Only moments later did the sky overhead darken. The blast landed and the range of destruction spread throughout the entire country, capturing both Theodore and Canna. In a large flash of light, Theodore, holding his daughter’s hand looked at her terrified face just before he blacked out.

When Theodore had awoken, he was lying unconscious on a beach. His body, for the most part was intact with the exception of minor lacerations and bruises. He was completely unaware of how long he had been rendered unconscious. However, after regaining his focus Theodore immediately thought of his daughter, who’s hand he had been holding just before the explosion. He gripped his left hand, feeling her arm and he smiled as he looked down to see her. His smile quickly vanished and was replaced by utter terror as the only thing in his hand was the severed arm of his daughter. With the realization of the loss of the last person in his life, Theodore yelled at the top of his lungs, his voice resonating throughout the entire area.

Part II: Born anew in the Force

Chapter IV: Searching for a Path

Theodore Higgins was dead. What remained was an empty shell that wondered alone. Theodore traveled for weeks, battered and worn out from his endeavors. He found himself on the eastern continent, the home of ninjas. The edge of the continent where he was, was significantly damaged and torn apart. As he went through some of the smaller towns and villages and saw the views of the greater country side, many of them looked just as his old home did. Through his travels he looked for survivors from his country, asking the locals if people similar to him had arrived or stopped by, however, Theodore found his search horribly unsatisfactory. Nobody had ever seen somebody who resembled Theodore in the slightest. Theodore spiraled even deeper into depression feeling more alone in the strange new world he found himself in. He became like a zombie, simply walking with one goal in mind, just trying to find somewhere to belong. Several months passed before Theodore heard grim news. Though divided by large seas, the East and the West were in constant contact with each other. News of what had happened to Theodore’s country and entire continent reached the East and spread like wild fire. It was said that entire countries were completely wiped off the map, among them, was Theodore’s country. Theodore knew that none of the fleeing ships made it to their destination, that all of them suffered the same fate as his grandfather’s ship or were taken by the relentless sea. Theodore had come to terms with the fate of his home and knew that he was truly all alone. Whatever hope that was left in Theodore’s heart had faded and he simply stopped with no purpose. Pain from the memories of Saya, Cliff, Mizuki, Ashtear and Canna flowed through Theodore’s body. Jealousy for the families he saw that were happy, and the general prosperity of this land resonated throughout his being. All these feelings; pain, jealousy, hatred, it broke the once kind hearted Theodore, leading him to desire power, power for vengeance and power for the ability to protect whatever he wanted that became dear to him.

Chapter V: Discovery One's Nature

It was at this point that Theodore began to discover his powers of the Force. Traveling deeper into the continent, into the Land of Earth was where Theodore resided for several years. Theodore felt strange sensations of intense energy whenever his anger spiked. Objects would move without him having to touch them, intense feats of physical strength would become apparent whenever he tried to do work, focus…focus and clarity of his rage would increase as he witnessed what triggered those emotions and the energy would become stronger. One time, when Theodore was being harassed in a tavern, he grabbed the arm of a man who had rose to hit him and shattered his bone with his mere grip. Several more men jumped Theodore and pinned him to the ground and beat him. Theodore’s rage spiked even greater and his simply burst through the group of men, all of them being pushed back by the force of Theodore’s rage and motion. Without thinking, Theodore raised his arms, which caused many of the men to levitate and Theodore began clinching his hands. He choked the men viciously, startling everybody else in the tavern and eventually alerting the royal guards of the monarch of the land. Theodore fled the reaches of the country immediately. By the time he snapped out of his range induced trance, Theodore realized something inside him was different than before. The rawness of the power he experienced back in the Land of Earth was what he desired. He decided to hone these new powers of his through focusing intensely on his passion. He dredged up the memories of his family, his pain, jealousy, and hatred and began shifting images in his head. The vividness of the imagery he created almost felt real. At one point he even created an illusion upon himself of Saya and Canna by his side. This unconscious illusion drowned Theodore for days within his mind until it twisted, showing both of their deaths and leaving Theodore in a complete void. Theodore didn’t sleep after that. Terrible visions would come into his head, visions he couldn’t understand completely, they seemed like predictions but they were of events of the past. Theodore wanted power and he felt that sleep was a waste of his time. As well as focus his passion, Theodore practiced using the force to levitate and move objects, increase his strength and fighting prowess. He even developed new abilities, the ability to understand and feel the world around him to the point he could know the very happenings of what went on around him without seeing them. Theodore continued to travel and work on his abilities, drowning everything in his darkness for power.

Chapter VI: Finding a new Path

Decades passed, however, Theodore didn’t seem to age. The force kept his body intact, favoring him. He continued to travel and hone his skills in the Force on his own. In his travels, he heard rumors of others like him, others with the ability to manipulate their surroundings and harness the powers of the Force. Their location was unknown and these people were spoken about as if they were myth. As he desired more power, Theodore sought out the other force sensitive warriors like him. He spent much time meditating, getting deeper in touch with the force in an attempt to seek them out. He let his senses lead him to an island far from the recesses of the Ninja World. The travel was grueling as Theodore found himself getting deeper and deeper into an area where the force was especially favoring. Eventually, Theodore found himself on Tython Island, the home of the Binkan, a clan of force sensitive individuals. Shortly after his arrival did he meet members of the Binkan that were inclined to the Light Side of the Force. They called themselves Jedi. They had sensed his approach, the approach of a strong source of rage and passion. Upon meeting the Jedi Theodore demanded to know more about his own powers, about the Force and to know how to develop his skills and power even further. The Jedi refused to feed information to somebody so lost in the Dark Side. Blinded with fury and rage Theodore fought and struck down the Jedi one by one using his rage as his power. Though is powers were raw and his training informal and without deep understanding of the Force, the Jedi were surprised at the amount of power and skill. Full blown knights and masters found it difficult to deal with such fire. Eventually, Theodore was taken down and subdued. Instead of killing Theodore, the Jedi Masters decided to try and heal the conflicted Theodore. It was obvious that the Force blessed him with incredible power and focus in order to harness that power. The Jedi Masters attempted to break through Theodore’s hatred, showing him how pointless his rage was and brought back the memories of his family. Theodore became conflicted, saddened, and pained again from the memory of his loved ones. He lost a significant amount of his power, but it was in this vulnerability that allowed the Jedi to mold Theodore. Though he was older, he was still taken on as a padawan and taught the fundamentals of the force. His ability to focus and comprehend was to his advantage. It took many long years, but Theodore had come to embrace the Light Side of the Force and regain strength and vitality. He was taught the arts of saber combat and how to sense the force to a greater extend as well as control it.

Chapter VII: Feeling the Tides of the Force

It wasn’t long after Theodore’s rehabilitation that the Sith Lords of the Binkan intervened in Theodore’s life. Like the Jedi, they too had sensed the power of Theodore upon his trek to Tythlon, however the Jedi beat them to him. Feeling the rage flow, the Sith left Theodore to the Jedi, believing that he could defat them and make his way to them so they could train him in the Dark Side. However, they were disappointed to find out that Theodore was incapable of doing so. They had underestimated the Jedi and because of that, Theodore lost his great power. Theodore had become stronger after embracing the Jedi Path, but in terms of raw power, he was still significantly weaker than he had been when he was as Sith. The Sith valued Theodore as a powerful ally to them and so, they devised a plan to pull him Theodore back to them. They treaded closer to the Jedi in order for their powers to reach Theodore. In his sleep, the Sith manipulated his dreams to cause visions of his family that pained him so. During meditation, they increased the illusions, disturbing his focus and causing even more conflict. One time, a lone Sith Lord intentionally appeared before Theodore and several other Jedi. His strength dwarfed all of theirs, even Theodore’s. The Sith Lord kept Theodore alive, however, the Sith taunted his weakness and brought his resolve for his family into question, causing even greater conflict. The Masters of the Jedi attempted to protect Theodore and strengthen his new resolve in attempts to defeat the Sith grasp on him. Theodore listened to both voices, both Dark and Light sides of the force. They tormented him with what was the right path, with what he desired out of life, however, at the breaking point, Theodore came to a revelation. Theodore’s ability to focus, his ability to comprehend was truly a gift. Where others would be faced with an ultimatum, Theodore found crossroads. Theodore found the true nature of the force from his internal conflict. Upon finding this nature, Theodore began deeper training, relinquishing his name of Theodore Higgins and becoming the Regent of the Mask.

Chapter VIII: Birth of the Regent

After coming to his breakthrough, it had appeared as if Theodore had snapped into insanity; both to the Jedi and Sith. Theodore, now the Regent, had transformed completely in his personality, seemingly overnight. He wasn’t hesitant in the slightest, he was so sure and positive of himself, more so than he had ever been as either Sith or Jedi. As well as being bolder, The Regent was very much like a royal fool, witty, sarcastic, and playful. However, these new traits were not accompanied by ordinary childishness or in a comedic sense. These traits mixed in with shocking sadism and deep resentment for the Jedi and Sith, as well as humanity’s inclination to darkness or light. He proclaimed; “I am a sociopath by the standards humanity’s idiocy.” Everything he did, everything he said, was so sure in his new light, so meaningful in his resentment and none of it was remorseful. It was as if it had become second nature to him. His transformation perplexed both the Jedi and Sith, only the few among the other Grandmasters and higher tier Jedi Masters and Sith Lords understood The Regent’s new enlightenment. From that point onward the Regent kept to himself in regards of his training, knowing few, if at all any, would understand his methods. He did not turn his back to his Binkan brethren; in fact, he encourages them to embrace him to see his light and to become like him. Though he is condescending, his methods are with good intent for his brother and sister Binkan.

Now, even in the new era of the shinobi, The Regent continues to teach his fellow clansmen.

The Regent of the Mask: After his breakthrough and new understanding of the Force, The Regent relinquished his old name as “Theodore Higgins” and became the Regent of the Mask. He donned a mask, which was to represent his new identity and status. People say that he runs from who he really is and in response, The Regent says: “Theodore Higgins wasn’t a bad guy, a little bipolar, but he was a good identity for a while. He’s dead now though.” People say he tries to hide behind the mask he now wears and to that he generally responds: “Changing your face generally requires some painful surgery that nobody has time and money for. I’d take a page from the Orochimaru guy but I don’t fancy snakes too much.” He donned the title of “Regent” stating himself as the ruler or domain of his mask, of his new identity.

Lord of Alchemy: The Force is but a tool to the Binkans. It is a tool of enlightenment and greater power that the members of the clan wield in order to gain greater strength. One art among the members of the Sith Binkan members was Sith Alchemy or Sith Magic. As the Regent progressed with his new identity, he took part in studying aspects of both the Light and Dark sides of the Force, one area being Sith Alchemy. His proficiency in the Alchemical arts led to the title (For story affect nothing to do with abilities).

Abilities

Genjutsu Master: The Regent took a particular interest and affinity to the genjutsu arts. In the years prior, he had unknowingly placed himself under illusions and caused him to experience vivid visions because of his force sensitivity. When he began learning genjutsu, he quickly took the art, making it his own. On Tythlon, the Regent became one of Grandmaster Starkiller’s (Galen Marek’s) most personal students in the genjutsu arts (Scorps), learning not only the fundamentals of genjutsu but the secret arts of the Genjutsu Masters developed by him and one of his colleuges (Emperor). Grandmaster Starkiller also blessed the Regent with the knowledge of another one of his inventions, a combination of taijutsu and genjutsu known as Lazy Fist. The Regent also became a student of a powerful Uchiha Woman who had transcended beyond many in the genjutsu arts. The Sage of Deceit herself, Isabella Uchiha (Lili-Chwan). She took the Regent in and taught him her unique genjutsu arts, arts that struck much fear into the hearts of those who knew of Isabella’s dark reputation. The Regent has reached such proficiency in the genjutsu arts that he is capable of casting illusions with faster handseals.

Seven Swordsmen of the Mist | Wind Release: In the beginning years of the founding of the Ninja Villages, The Regent traveled back to the continent to try and see the progression of humanity outside Tythlon. Wishing to have some hold and identity there, the Regent became part of Kirigakure. After the previous two owners, Gabriel and Naraku had left the village, the sword; Shine-Tsu-Hiko was passed onto the Regent. He became proficient in Fuuton in order to become accustomed to the sword’s power. Through the sword, he can cast wind techniques merely by waving the blade and using its special ability as well as gaining an increase in the strength of his wind techniques.

Force Sensitive Abilities: The Regent of the Mask is hailed as one of the few members who has transcended to the title of Grandmaster, a rank above that of any Jedi Knight or Sith Lord. This title was bestowed upon him by Grandmaster Galen Marek, the clan’s founder. Because of the Regent’s understanding of the Force beyond that of Jedi and Sith, he has access to the powers of both sides of the Force respectively.

Armor and Weaponry: The metallic guards on the Regent’s hands, forearms and legs are made of a strong metallic alloy that are strong enough to deflect and withstand non-chakra enhanced/infused projectiles and weaponry such as kunai, shuriken, standard blades like katana, etc. They can become worn over time and if not maintained will break. Though strong the implementation of chakra to enhance one’s weapons would render his armor. The Regent’s Mask has a filter system, which filters out the air he breaths in to protect him from toxins and harmful gases. The result of this filter system also alters his voice to a degree. As one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, The Regent possesses Shin-Tsu-Hiko, which he carries strapped on his back. Being a Grandmaster Binkan member, and master of Saber Combat, the Regent possess his clan’s chakra saber. He possesses several chakra sabers which he customizes depending on his mood of combat. He will either possess: Four sabers hilted around his waits in his belt, a double sided saber across his back with Shin-Tsu-Hiko, or a chakra staff across his back. He also carries an array of standard projectiles such as kunai, shuriken, and explosive tags.

Beliefs

Jedi Code
There is no emotion? Then how are you selfless and compassionate?
There is no ignorance? How can there be knowledge without ignorance?
How can there be Yin without Yang?
You say emotion and passion don’t exist yet you possess strength and power.
You foolishly believe that the force grants you power. Understand that the force penetrates you and enhances your natural being. You were born with emotion and passion thus is a part of you, to renounce yourself weakens you and stifles your power.
Your definition of security is to remain confined, but confined you never reach full potential and without reaching potential how do you achieve harmony. There is death you morons, it is when you become void in the force. Only by releasing your passion and achieving your potential do you become one with the force and relinquish death.
You must be registered for see images

Sith Code
Peace is a lie? What do you call the freedom?
Yes you gain strength through passion but strength is merely the gate to power, not the key. You fools think that strength unlocks power? Power is only unlocked through knowledge of how to harness that strength and that knowledge is control. You possess no such control and therefore you waste your strength which only locks the gate tighter and decays the key. Once the key is gone and the gate sealed forever you will never achieve power. Without power you cannot achieve victory, without victory you are forever bound, just like the Jedi, never reaching your full potential. You cannot break shackles nor achieve freedom. Only when you waste the last ounce of your strength will you face death and become void in the force.

Code of the Regent
There are no truths and lies, the Force is the only absolute
There is strength in passion, only a fool believes otherwise
There is only power through knowledge, only the ignorant says elsewise.
When power is secured so are one’s ambitions
When ambitions are secured, they become victory
Through victory one gains freedom
Through freedom one gains peace
The only peace is the Force
Therefore all one gains in strength, knowledge, and power are servant to their ambition
And one’s ambition is to the will of the force.

Nindo
I am the big brother who has made the mistakes of the past and has learned from said mistakes. My brother and sister Binkans, I only want to cure you of your idiocy, idiocy that I too possessed once upon a time. It is because of you that I understand how to become one with the Force and avoid the void called death. You created me, as was willed by the force so that I can pass on the true nature of the force unto you and spare thee the troubles I faced.

I was the sacrificial lamb, I am now your nourishment. Consume me and become strong.

(he still cries when Mufasa dies and Simba tries to wake him up in the Lion King T_T)
I rofl'ed.

Other than that, it was too long, but I enjoyed the up and down emotional situations. But I skimmed through Part 2, as I felt that most of it was summarized in the Appearance and personality sections.
