What has the chakra cloak done for Minato?

We saw that Minato has a chakra cloak that is similar to Naruto but I don't think that we have seen what the cloak has actually done for Minato. Unless I'm seriously overlooking something, it seems as though almost everything Minato has displayed has been things he probably was able to do before activating it. So what difference does the cloak make for him?

It just appeared because he used Kyuubi's chakra, he didn't intend for it or anything.

OT: Nothing...yet. It could've caused intimidation to an easily-discouraged foe, but Obito is no coward.
Edit: Actually, it gave him the necessary amount of chakra to activate his part of that barrier that Juubito destroyed.

the kunai didn't break, it was sliced off due to obito's weird dust release staff. that wasn't raw power

Yea I wonder about that. To use a tech of that caliber (or at least hyped caliber) wouldn't he have to have known how to do it prior to his death? Or it could be that he did know how to use it but didn't have the required chakra. Or it could be that he could but just preferred to show off to his son. Idk how to conclude on that one.

Ok. So going forward, I should ignore the debates where Minato forms play a role in the match up. Such as Alive Minato vs X or the ones that say X is better than Minato without KCM but with KCM Minato is better.

Yes it is boy, he can move faster on feet and a sharingan user and a supposedly sensor user can't follow his movement.

Nothing really. Seems like he only used it to give him strength to use the barrier, but if Hiruzen could use it, I don't see why he couldn't do it in base. Maybe to make the barrier stronger. Or maybe simply to establish that he has the Yin chakra. It hasn't done anything that Naruto's has yet.

word, i dont get why in vs threads people say base minato wins or kcm minato wins but not base, kcm didnt rly do anything for him, considering his op ness comes from his ftg and ability to think quickly on the best way to use his techniques, he basically doesnt even use the speed of kcm considering he has an s/t tech that makes him move instantly, i mean i guess it helps with making more rasengans and he can take a hit better, but being minato he doesnt rly get hit, and he can alrdy make rasengans with one clone and not two like naruto. and i guess he wouldnt run out of chakra as fast
