He's emotionally attached to the memory of Rin in a very unhealthly way..but it is not in a pedo way..he's not thinking about 12 year old little girls.
It's about his childhood memory with Rin that he's obsessed with and the failure of Kakashi to? protect her..that has driven Obito over the edge. His worldview (with a little manipulation on Madara's part) was turned upside down because her death and Kakashi failure to keep his promise.
Orochimaru is more likely to be pedophile than Obito.

Obito might have multiple motives, but the problem with his character is that all of his motives stem from one incident, whereas other characters' motivation stem from several incidents. Sasuke for example has the massacre, Naruto surpassing him, and Itachi's death. Obito just has Rin's death.

Honestly im just sick and tried of him constantly think about Rin. Even in his Jubito state. I really dnt like the way that didnt even forgive Kakashi and Blames him! it wasnt his fualt and he had no choice. Obito should had change the Shinobi way a differernt way instead of creating some illusion with Madara. and I also understand that Madara did manipulate him to some extent, but even after over 16 years his primary reason was for one girl

Also, Im sick of him justifying himself by using Rin. Its really not pleasurable, in real life obito would have been considered mentally insane, and most sane adults move on.
Also if Madara had such a hold over him he would have had forgotten about Rin. Obito has no complexity as a character, and only thinks about one thing.

Honestly Madaras reasons are more understanding than His. His wanting to destroy everything for one person shows now character development. And the fact that Madara may have manipulated him abit still doesnt justify it

I'm with you on that... the Rin BS is just that BS. Even worse, every stupid flashback of Rin is another power up....

Rin is the catalyst or inspiration for his motives not the entirety of the reason of why he's doing what he's doing.

So when things get tough he falls back to what got him there in the start and affirms his convictions. I really don't think he longs to be with Rin anymore.

antagonist like this I find boring, because it's not relatable. No one does things just to be evil, we all have justifications for what we do. Even if they are half-assed, they are better than "just to be mean".

Never did think obito as a antagonist, more or less a sub villain until madara finishes with hashi. Although I would liked to see more of his reasoning for starting a war.
