Ok so this is not much of a theory or anything. Instead, it is more like a minor observation I just thought of.
Through the last few chapters, Obito has been paralleling the deaths of Akatsuki members, but instead he surpases them by surviving.
Example 1: Hidan
Remember this moment.....of course you do! I noticed Obito had a somewhat parallel experience.
Like Hidan, Obito was grappled and suspended in air where a Paper Bomb barrage hit him point blank; however, Obito survives.
Example 2: Kisame
Kisame's parallel is a tad more abstract. He had just been defeated by Gai. As he was being interrogated, the flashbacks of his past drew him insane strength and he breaks out to kill himself.
Obito was similar. He is defeated by Kakashi and has Madara messing with him. Rin gives him the strength to merge with the Juubi. After that, we see him being ripped apart...his memories once again drive him into action, and he overcomes the Juubi.
Example 3: Deidara
Hating the Uchiha....Deidara releases the ultimate explosion to kill his rival.
In a similar fashion, he has a gigantic explosive that is sent right to him with an incredible explosion. You could even go a step back, and recall when the Juubi was hostless. Obito tried to blast the alliance in 615, but Bee intercepts causing a large point blank explosion that he survives.
Example 4: Kakuzu
Using diversions (and a little plot
) Naruto gets to Kakuzu and hits him with the Rasenshuriken. He goes flying and gets hit.
Once more we see that a Rasengan (now an upgraded flaming one) gets point blank on Obito while Tobirama and Minato create diversions for them. Most likely....Obito is Preta Pathing or using Shinra Tensei on this one.
To conclude... I just thought the parallel was really neat. Obito is somewhat jumping through many deaths Akatsuki has had, and is surviving them. Symbolically it kind of represents that he's the last of Akatsuki or the only one still following its goals. With that thought.... it makes me wonder what Madara's real game plan is. Also, it kind of makes me nervous.
If Obito is really paralleling Akatsuki deaths...he better not save Nagato for last and pull a Rinne-Tensei!!!!!! I guess the better option would be an Itachi where he's just run out of juice and dies. Anywhow what do you guys/girls think?! I thought at the very least it was a tad ironic.
