Both can lead, just do it differently. Naruto wins the hearts of those around him, and they WANT to follow him. People are drawn to him, in a positive way. Sasuke uses his power, and looks, to lead others. Im not even sure they respect him, i think they just don't want to be susanooed.

which is more important, leading by respect, or leading by power. In the end, which one will have greater results?

I think Naruto leads by example, doing what is best for everyone, much like a Paragon Shepard in Mass Effect.

Sasuke is more "in the moment". Doing what is best in the current situation. Like how he rushed in to create an opening.

I think both are equally important. Life is all about moderation, you can't have one without the other.

but that is not why people follow him, they respect naruto. it isnt becoming hokage that gets you acknowledge, it is being acknowledge that helps you become hokage. Naruto has that acknowledgement, sasuke has none

you are backwards. No he cannot be hokage. because he does not have acknowledgment of the village. If they knew what he did, then that is different. and plus he isn't alive...so why are you bringing up itachi?

What you said about Sasuke has nothing to do with leadership, that is just actions in a battle.

His running ahead and doing things of the moment is not a leadership quality or has anything to do with leadership period.

The only signs of Sasuke's leadership was with Karin, Juugo, and Suigetsu while they followed him, it was for rather bizarre reasons.

Sasuke has never really been in a position to really measure his leadership.
