First let me say this: Not a Itachi fanboy nor a Minato fanboy just stating opinions
Minato=<Itachi
Edo Minato<Edo Itachi CLEARLY :erm:
1st off Minato doesn't really have Intel on itachi like almost zero, and Minato is a freaking legend so you know A LOT of people know his feats. That being said I really don't see Minato countering or really getting around the following jutsus:
Magen: Moeru Karada Kami no Jutsu
-A genjutsu, used during the Sharingan activation, makes the opponent become paper-like and begin to burn.
Magen:Kasegui
-Shackles the opponent, and makes them feel as though they are being stabbed by wedges, they lose control of their body.
Utakata - Ephemeral
-Using his ring, Itachi will use a genjutsu that played upon the fear of the opponent.
Mangekyou Sharingan Tsukoyomi
-A torture technique lasting for 72 hours. But a second in Reality leaving an opening for Itachi to do whatever is needed to his opponent.
Mangekyou Sharingan Susanoo
-Skeletal summon - considered ultimate defense. or full Susanoo
Mangekyou Sharingan Amaterasu
-Black divine flames.
Obviously Itachi is pretty much is a master at kunais which is pretty much Minato's master card i.e FTG! Itachi having the Sharingan and a great shuriken user could determine where Minato throws his shuriken at the beginning of the battle like Minato usually does (meaning Minato could or could not throw them at the beginning its just usually what he does if he randomly meets an opponent) and Itachi clearly will be aware of this just like A was aware.
Minato's offense:
Different Rasengans
and a Kunai
and speed blitz (if Minato actually gets to mark Itachi)
- Now we all know Itachi usually tries to use Genjutsu at the beginning of his battles usually his tactics are Genjutsu, Ninjutsus, then Susanoo.
-Minato again has no intel on Itachi's genjutsu but pretty sure minato will be aware not to look into an Uchiha due to kohona facing Uchiha's in the past but Minato will not be aware of his finger jutsu. If Minato manages to escape the Illusion with the "Kai" Jutsu it will turn into a Ninjutsu battle.
Now Minato will be able to counter some of Itachi's ninjutsus such as katon, and maybe water bullet jutsu! However Itachi also has jutsu to counter rasengan and Minato's Kunai:
Counters:
Kawarimi no Jutsu
=Replacement technique, which will replace your location with an object.
Crow Clone Technique
-A genjutsu used by Itachi, this clone turns into a flock of crows when struck.
Kage Bunshin no jutsu
-Clones with substance, that can use techniques from the host.
Bunshin Daibakuha
-Clone explosion technique.

-Skeletal summon - considered ultimate defense. (May also attack
Now when Susanoo is Activated its a whole different ball game both minato's offensive move are nullified even if he's able to get inside Susanoo (remember when Sasuke said that every cell was hurting in his body after he activated partial Susanoo against Mei; I don't think Minato will be expecting that) not to mention the sword and shield. I won't say Itachi is guaranteed to pierce Minato with the sword cause it's not a Guarantee. But let's not forget Itachi can seperate from Susanoo and still have it activated and perform actions while Itachi can be a distraction outside of Susanoo. So, unless I missed something can someone explain to me how Minato defeats Itachi?????
