Do your eyes ever change color?

Question in the thread title.

A lot of people always say that there eyes change color based on emotion, which was always sort of strange to me, but I could understand a little since my friends eyes were naturally dark brown but would turn purple when he got mad.

But my eyes only change color based on 2 things. Temperature and when I get nervous.
My eyes are naturally a bright hazel (typical, you know), but when I get realy warm and start sweating they turn green. First noticed this when I was in this apartment with a lot of people, so it was really really warm. Not exactly hot though. Then I started sweating my friend just started staring at me and looked real close at my eyes and she said 'have your eyes always been green?' And then I went to the mirror and looked at them and bam. Green as a leaf.

But when I get nervous, they just start darkening. It's weird but you know.

Do yours ever change color? What color are they naturally, and what causes them to change?

I heard that all babies are born with blue eyes ..

One of mine is light blue and the other is a light green, yet both my parents and both sets of grandparents have brown eyes... My brother and sister have brown. The only family member I share a resemblance in with eyes is my niece, because my sisters partner has blue eyes... It's weird.

One time, i poked my eye hard enough. It started to turn red, my emotion was "in pain" so maybe. Yes it does change colors.

I have green eyes, but my mom tells me that depending on what I wear, my eyes can change. So sometimes, my eyes will be a mix of green and blue. It's weird. O_O

My eye does :/ and my skin also,. for example when I get a haircut my skin gets lighter from some weird reason, :| and then dark and light again

well... I have at least four colors in my eyes that I can count out because I look in the mirror

emerald green (main)
dark blue (outter ring)
light blue (near towards the pupil)
yellow (around the pupil)

when I get tired, or mad, or anything else that causes me stress they turn to like more yellow green

I am actually believing that this has something to do with blood pressure, when you are stress the blood pressure will elivate as your eyes become dialated sort of pushing some colors out more like my eye is mostly what I listed, but when I get stressed, and my blood is going they change because the color nearest gets pushed out more

Well, technically yes. Every baby is born with blue eyes. So either they stay blue or become another color. The shade can obviously change as well. But I have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm sorry you have basic eyes that don't change color. It must be tragic.

Yeah, I've started thinking about that too. Kind of what made me make this thread. Maybe blood flow effects eye color? Like good blood flow lightens your eyes or maybe effects their color, makes them more 'clear'. And then a bad blood flow has no effect, just makes them normal and dull. Just a thought though.

Wooooaah. That's definitely a first. I can't even imagine what would cause that.

Thats definitely believable. I was watching this YouTube channel the other day called 'TheSpiritScience'. He was speaking on eye color/chakra coordination and how the color you associate most with can have a major effect on your chakras which have a minor effect on your eyes.

For example, everything he owned was blue so he has a very active blue chakra and like, tinted gray yes. Or maybe you're very comfortable with what you're wearing and it shows through your eyes. A good sense of high self esteem maybe?

I was researching this a lot yesterday and found a story of this one girl who did a video of how her eyes went from dark brown to gray/green/brown. She said it was caused by her diet. She stopped eating super unhealthy foods and completely switched to eating raw foods only.

What's your diet like?

Yeah, it's completely real. You've neve heard of people changing eye color? Look it up when you have some time, it happens to a lot of people.
