I feel as if people don't understand that Madara was trolling the 5 kage when he fought them. The fact that she survived being split in half doesn't mean much. If that happens while she's in a fight to the death, it's gg. Madara just walked away and then she had to summon a slug to put her humpty-dumpty a** back together.

A skilled kenjutsu user, like Sasuke, Oro, Darui, Kisame, or some of the 7 swordsmen could cut Tsunade in half or decapitate her. The same can't be said for Ay, one of the top 5 fastest people in the history of the NV with lightning armour on top.

what are you even talking about?
1) It's not that easy to decapitate someone. Stop living in a fantasy. You need either a fuuton blade or double lariat.
2) Ay can be injured. Sasuke hurt him with chidori and he cut his own arm off. A powerful slashing attack, such as any fuuton( fuuton > Raiton), would dismember Ay. Unlike tsunade, ay can't put himself back together, so this fantasy that ay is some durable powerhouse like his father is baseless bullshit.

Ikr? Yet they're so far apart in most people's mind. Most coming with the comment, that some have tried to make in this thread, that tsunade isn't durable and can just be dismembered but ay can. The only way you're dismembering tsunade is with a powerful fuuton attack, or double lariat. Coincidentally, they'd do the same to Ay.

Tsunade is indeed highly underrated in the base, and has been for a while.

I think the underrating stepped up a level since Sakura got her seal though. Because not everyone that doesn't mind or likes Tsunade likes Sakura. Therefore they figure if they give Tsunade too much praise Sakura will have to get the same thing or a little more. Since she is becoming pretty much exactly like Tsunade in terms of skill set.

I do agree with your thread though. Ay and Tsunade are my fav of the gokage. I like ninja who fight like they do. However i do feel most people reguard speed too highly in the base, though it is something to consider it does not mean the slower person is down for the count.

Those 'chop off head' vs thread nubs always say that cuz they know its practically the only way they could hope to battle most of her vs threads. When in reality with no intel noone would think to do that, and even then. How many heads have we seen chopped off in the show, who really starts off a fight going straight for ur head.

She was willing to take him on for naruto, i think she was well aware of his ability roughly as she had just seen it. We havent even seen all of tsunade's techs. I saw a mystery one when madara went PS and she never pulled it off as edo tensei was dispelled (or so they thought) so she stopped.

The fight would never happen like that. Plus if ay tried to latriat tsunade he would be in deep shit since he can't even do a clean sweep without bee. She could pumel him in one punch. or even to simple grab his throat while he is pressing against her with latriat and crush it is easier, afterall it is intent to kill XD, see where i am going with this

Main point is they are both the same style fighters and shouldn't be ranked that far apart because of speed. Tsunade has shown impressive speed feats as well.

in speed. she was referring to competing with him when it comes to his speed. Although he's not known for that anymore since he's been trolled out of it.

You can zip around as fast as you want, but he doesn't have ranged techniques he will have to come in to attack therefore she does have chance to win in their matchups

I don't know where it came from either, most opponents tsunade has faced as we clearly have seen, she did not have to accelerate to extreme speeds to hit them. I believe if the situation called for it she could go faster. Not Raiton armour boost fast. But fast enough

Ay can dodge anything Tsunade tries to hit him with. Tsunade is too slow to dodge Ay.

I'm not going to talk about a fight between Ay and Tsunade because this isn't the VS section and you did say that you were comparing them when it comes to overall abilities they have.

Anyway while Tsunade does have a major strength advantage over Ay, Ay has a major speed advantage as well. Having better speed is more practical in most scenarios because both Ay and Tsunade can kill most of their opponents in one hit whereas Ay can do it much faster. Not only that, but speed also helps one's defence as it allows the faster fighter to dodge attacks more easily than the slower fighter. Being able to completely evade an attack or being fast enough to escape the opponent's eye sight is far better than getting hit and constantly regenerating because regeneration decreases Tsunade's life span and also takes more chakra than simply dodging an attack. Also speed helps you to evade attacks that can tear one's body apart whereas Tsunade may not be able to do this and thus, can lose a fight much more easily than Ay can.

Also Ay is far more durable than Tsunade. Both Ay and Tsunade went through
