There have only been 4 people to have the Rinnegan, and Naruto through the Juubi's eyes gave the Juubi the illusion it was looking at the Sage. Sasuke has EMS so he can access the Rinnegan if he gets Senju DNA. In total 4 users and 2 potential users.

Nagato was sealed in the Totsuka Blade.

Madara is dead and doesn't have a future...

Obito is the only logical choice, since he looks like the second coming of the Sage, while Naruto, to the Juubi, gives off the feeling of the Sage.

His suspense, is his mystery as the masked man, such suspense after 599, the wholw facebook and twitter was in awe of his revelation, also by becoming the second rikudo, his goal leaves us the readers in suspense, will he be like the first rikudo and help the alliance in peace or will he be a darker rikudo and set out to kill the alliance and conquer the world in infinite tsukiyomi

His past role. Caused the attack of the Nine tails in Konoha 16 years ago, caused the blood mist and founded the akatsuki and led the group in the shadows, started the fourth Ninja world and through his control he caused the Juubi to kill Neiji a huge character and millions by the wood tecnique

Future role. hopefully he will destroy the alliance sinking the world in true despair and begins infinite tsukiyomi but when he does, he will become unable to contain the beast and be ripped to pieces because One with the juubi in mind and body instead of just body when he wants to turn good this will happen, he will be consumed by the Juubi, with the Juubi in control it will unleash its wrath on mankind like it did centuries ago leaving or rather Opening the way for rikudo to come back within naruto

The Second sage of Six Paths is the person who has fullfilled all the requirements to be classified as the sage. These requirements are his 'body' and his 'eyes'. Therefore, the person(s) who can be considered as the second sage is/are:
MAdara - He can be considered the jinchuriki-less Second Sage of six paths as he was the first person to combine complete the sages 'body' and therefore fully unlock the 'eyes'.
Obito - He can be considered the jinchuriki Second Sage of Six paths. Because he has the both and the 'eyes' - though he only has half the eye part, he also has the jinchuriki portion of the Sage of Six paths.
IMO, MAdara is closer to the Second sage even without the juubi because of the fact that he completed the body and unlocked the eyes himself, whereas obito uses 1 of madara's eyes.


I'mk going to assume it's for a final dramatic battle to unite the entire shinobi world into one. 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb'. The blood could be considered as the bloodshed of the war, and womb can be considered as the nations which 'birthed' these shinobi. I'm assuming his role is to unite all shinobi nations through the bloodshed and create a true peace, at least for some time.

The second sage never had a past role, I don't think so. But, his upcoming role i'd assume is what i said above.

His Six PAths are either;
-The six paths of pain which control different powers of the rinnegan - gravity, life/death, summoning, sealing, etc.
-The constituent requirements to fully form the sage - Body, Eyes, Juubi, ???, ???, ???
But, it's most likely the first.

Well i gave you my 2 cents. Take it or leave it, Derp obito is the one who faps over Sage, I dont know much about the sage.

Post Script: Obito is not the second...The six paths are something completely different from being the 10 tails host. Obito is in a Sennin Mode imo but Madara is the second of the six paths. Obito is nao similar to the Sage while equipped with the Juubi. Although...the six paths can be attained without it. Madara is the second.
