Pure skills is Madara better than Itachi?

Not including the power of their respective MS abilities, does Madara have more pure skill as a shinobi than Itachi? After watching the episode vs the fourth battalion again, he really reacts to situations very well and seemed damn well untouchable.

In skills I'd say they are approximate equals, itachi is more of a genius whie madara is a prodigy.

Meh, this is a debatable topic. It's kind of similar to Naruto and Sasuke. Itachi is the smarter one (Not by much battle wise just like Naruto and Sasuke) whereas Madara is more of a "prodigy" due to his high chakra levels. Personally, I'd say Itachi given what we have seen.

Madara said it himself that his weakness is Taijutsu.

So realistically, Itachi is skilled in more areas than Madara but due to Madara's experience and high chakra levels, he trounces on Itachi.

I'd say the only thing itachi is slightly better than madara in is Genjutsu but that's only because we haven't seen any genjutsu feats from him. As far as everything else goes, Madara schools itachi in every other field including taijutsu.
