If the dust is inhaled while you are under genjutsu the gold leaf dust carries nature chakra into your chakra flow returning it to normal and dispelling the genjutsu. If the enemy inhales it, the gold leaf dust slowly and subtly saturates the enemy's chackra flow inducing a genjutus that makes them envision themselves in a serene grassy field where the sun comes colliding into the earth and incinerates them.
