It only takes an instant to unleash Deva path. He can destroy that jutsu before it activates. The rinnegan is useful for recognizing ninjutsu with the exception of transformations.

Did you forget how it works? It starts out like any other nijutsu, and then it becomes light and sound. Before it does so, it can be destroyed by deva path.
