Konnichiwa once more Narutobasers!
Today, I'd like to talk about a character I think that had great potential to be a favorite amongst us fans: Haku. Sorry If this is a long thread, I'd really appreciate it if you read it though =D
"You mean the fodder that died in like the first chapter lololol" Now, to avoid comments like these, I'm mostly gonna base this thread on his abilities. But keep this is mind, nobody really defeated Haku. Twice, he hurled himself in front of an attack to save Zabuza's behind. So those who say " Part I Naruto or Part I Sasuke beat Naruto" are incorrect. In fact, Zabuza stated Haku was more dangerous than himself. For most of the fight, Sasuke and Naruto were overwhelmed by Haku's power. Another thing to keep in mind is the fact that this is mainly the beginning of the series we're talking about, nobody is launching a TBB or spamming Amaterasu. Part I characters are considered weak to part II characters, this is for the sole reason of character development.
First, I'll refer to Haku's Databook stats. He is overall 21. Weaker than even Iruka according to that. However, I believe something is definitely wrong with this, which leads me to believe Databook ratings don't really have much to do with the outcome of a battle. Rock Lee made a fool out of Sasuke their first encounter, Sasuke had a higher databook rating than Lee. So compared to Part I Sasuke's 18.5 and Lee's 17 and even Gaara's 20, Haku surpassed all of them. And to put Haku's subscores in comparison to the ones his age, his speed, a 4, was equal to Rock Lee's at the time. We ALL remember Rock Lee's speed. He had a 4 in hand seals, compared to Sasuke's 3, an Uchiha. And he scored a 4 in intelligence, one less than Shikamaru.
Next, I'll give you an overview of his jutsu.
We'll start off with the fact he's a Kekkei Genkai manipulator. How many people have we seen his age that can fully control a Kekkei Genkai? He is capable of using Water Release, Wind release, and of course Ice Release. Water is strong against Fire and Wind is strong against Lightning, basically nullifying elemental attack against him.
Ice Release: Ice Dome- can quickly create an ice dome around his allies and himself to act as a defence. It is strong enough to withstand the assault of many explosive tags at once, remaining almost undamaged. He also created this dome rather quickly, further adding to his agility.
Secret Jutsu: A Thousand Needles of Death- Haku gathers some water from the air and surrounding environment into one thousand long needles. He then directs them to a specific target at high speed, leaping backwards before impact so he doesn't get caught in the crossfire. While the needles do surround a target from all sides, they don't appear above the target, creating an escape route. Haku is able to perform this jutsu with one-handed seals, allowing him to pin an opponent's arm and attack while they cannot use any techniques themselves. Again, how many people have we seen that can create jutsu with one hand?
And of course his strongest jutsu, Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals- In an instant, multiple mirrors of ice are created around the enemy, reflecting nothing but Haku. The opponent is trapped in a dome of twenty-one floating mirrors made out of ice. Twelve remain at ground level, eight float above the first twelve and angled towards the ground, and the final mirror is above the rest and facing the ground. Once Haku has entered the mirrors, it's possible for him to move between the mirrors at the speed of light. It's near impossible to follow attacks sent out from this incredible movement. As every mirror shows his reflection, one could say it's impossible to see all of Haku's attacks. Even if the opponent tries to attack the real body, Haku will have already moved to another mirror. Haku can also form individual mirrors, not restricted to the twenty-one-mirror formation. He can create them high in the sky allowing him to take out airborne targets.Though they are made from ice, the mirrors are resistant to Fire Release techniques.
In conclusion: I remember a glorious time in Naruto when we would all talk about Part I Naruto, Sasuke, Lee, Gaara, Kimimaro etc., I guess this an attempt to bring that back by using my favorite part I character Haku. I also wanted everyone to know, Haku can defeat most shinobi right now (excluding the powerhouses and a select few others). I think he is the most talented 15 year old I've ever seen xd I think It would've been a great idea for Kishi to kill off Zabuza but keep Haku alive. His jutsu was unique and intriguing, and he'd make a more viable option to be a future Mizukage than anyone. Or perhaps he could take the route Gaara did. Who knows. Well thanks for putting up with me and thanks for reading *_*
