Anyone having a reasonable discussion will know Guy doesn't start off with the highest gates when facing his opponent. He uses gates when he is overwhelmed .With no knowledge on poison, Guy doesn't get pass Hikuro without getting scratch.

Sorry but Guy isn't that dumb. Knowing that he is facing a member of the Akatsuki he'll most likely start with a safe attack such as Hirudora. I'm sure Guy has experience in the field, I refuse to believe he's never fought a poison user before.

What? guy faced off against akatsuki a few times .. including being outnumbered at a time ( when he went up against Kisame and Itachi) and he has never started in gates my man

I have no manga proof for this at all so don't crucify me but is it that hard to believe with all the pressure and willpower that goes into 8 Gates that the body could still move even if in agony? I mean Lee got back up whilst unconcious. They have ridiculous willpower.

Yes they do.. Oh your saying that even if he were to be poisoned he would fight on? .. that may be true but his agility will def. be hindered which then he is sitting duck for Iron sand.

A base Sakura avoided his slowest attacks but was rendered useless to those of Iron-sand drizzle and Iron sand spikes caliber U_U dont use the obvious plot shield as a reason as to why gai would win

This is false. Chiyo helped Sakura only in the first part of the fight.
After that she didn't helped, in fact as I remember she praised Sakura cuz she was able to dodge without her.
