Also, look at his facial expressions.. they look alot like gaara's when he was being manipulated by the 1 tails.

No, the resaon why one was not present during the war was because there was no jinchuriken, for the one tail which was gaara. All the other tail beast had their jinchuriken present. Which extrated from them, it was only d 3 tail who was sealed without a jinchuriken because the jinchuriken had died and kabuto was able to find his genetic material which he used to resurrected him.

bc his jinchuuriki is still alive, and having someone else trying to control it and be able to deal with the pain and everything else that comes with being a jinchuuriki is to much to handle within only a few days.

he wasn't being used not because he was in the gedo, but bc they had no1 to seal him in. If u scroll down you can see what i said about gaara not being there/dead in edo form to carry shukaku in him, hes the only one who would be able to keep him at bay the most, and use his chakra more effectively then any1 else. Gaara is also use to not sleeping much at all because shukaku tries to escape or release himself during that time... so yea any other ninja would have big problems with that.
