[Discussion] Are video games getting more and more mainstream?

I just heard that episode 2 of season 9 of Supernatural is going to be called Devil May Care, i guess it is going to include a reference to Devil May Cry the game series (or maybe even the recent remake). i am a fan of the show but regardless i see this as great news that video games are getting more mainstream, not just for the gamers or the occasional "oh yeah i heard of that one". i think they gonna make whole episodes about it (like they do on celebrities or movie/show parodies).

There is also a small sketch by Conan called clueless gamer where he plays video games and rate them (the guy is like 50) in truth it's not really a funny sketch but it is getting like 10 short episodes now.

so yeah, we are going to have Legend Of Zelda Parodies in no time =D

lol what i meant is not tv adaption of a video game. i mean jokes or parodies about video games in mainstream medias like tv shows or movies.

I haven't played it yet, but I've seen Pewds and Mrretrokid91 do it. It. Looks. Amazing!

i have it on my PS3 harddrive but haven't played it yet, my steam summer sale games piled up

it got a perfect score, 10 out of 10 like 30 times. avarage of 97. thats a spot in the history top 10 best games of all time.

Hmm perhaps some games are..but there are still loads of game developers who make amazing games. Haha the Last of Us from Naughty Dog is a perfect example Rockstar is another one that makes quite unique games.
